Week 9

Caesar (Gary): Welcome, welcome, welcome to Week 9 of the BBB Games, where we look at this week's matchups and the current Power Rankings. Week 8 was brutal for injuries, especially at QB. Cousins is out for the season with a torn Achilles. Matthew Stafford injured his thumb and didn't return to the game. He is most likely out until after their bye week. Pickett left the game with a rib injury. Those injuries will have a massive impact on all their team's pass catchers. Drake London left with a groin injury and didn't return to the game. Kendrick Bourne is out for the season with a knee injury. Darren Waller left with another hamstring injury after Jordan acquired him in a trade—such a shame. Steve takes the biggest hit since Nacua will get nerfed by whoever replaced Stafford. With Goff on bye, Steve had to pick from the QB scraps on the waiver wire.

Claudius (Paul): It couldn't have happened at a better time.

Caesar (Gary): Yes, yes. You play against Steve this week. You must be feeling confident facing Geno against the Ravens D.

Claudius (Paul): I know Steve won't be making any side wagers this week.

Caesar (Gary): I would think not, even if he still has Tyreek. Paul, your team is locked and loaded and will only improve once Montgomery returns from injury.

Claudius (Paul): I'm coming for your James!

Caesar (Gary): With four NFL teams on bye, Jordan finds his team diminished by the absence of CMC, the overall #1 fantasy player this season. Dana needs a miracle to stay out of the Crapper Playoff. With Arthur Smith still having his head up his arse, Bijan continues to be underutilized. If everything bounced Dana's way, she could pull off the upset, but Dana's luck has not been that good this season.

Claudius (Paul): Poor Dana.

Caesar (Gary): Speaking of bad luck. Ashlyn faces the Commissioner this week. Even without two of his most reliable scorers on bye, LaPorta and Amon-Ra, this should be an easy win for the Commish. She looks destined for the Crapper.

Claudius (Paul): The Commissioner's plan is coming to fruition.

Caesar (Gary): We will see. There are plenty of other sucky teams, like Travis, who faces Linda. Linda has been ascending the ranks. This week, she is up three spots to #9. Both James and David move up a spot. Dana is the biggest loser, falling two places to #10. Paul this is your 3rd week at the top.

Power Rankings:

  1. Paul

  2. Jordan

  3. James

  4. David (+1)

  5. Steve (-1)

  6. Justin

  7. Tracy

  8. Gary (+1)

  9. Linda (+3)

  10. Dana (-2)

  11. Ashlyn (-1)

  12. Travis

Claudius (Paul): All that matters is finishing #1 at the end of the year.

Caesar (Gary): Indeed. Linda is looking good to extend her lead over Dana and Ashlyn for 2nd in the Broads. The way things are trending, she may put pressure on Steve for the Broads Division winner. It's quite a surprise looking at her roster.

Claudius (Paul): She will be one and done come playoff time.

Caesar (Gary): Gary's two-game winning streak is going to come to an end. He faces David, whose team is at full strength. It will be disappointing that 2 of the 4 Beards division teams will miss the opportunity for the Championship. All four teams are deserving of a shot. David plugged the final hole in his roster last week, picking up McBride. He should be a lock-and-loaded TE for the rest of the season. The Commissioner has to be feeling nervous.

Claudius (Paul): His team sucks.

Caesar (Gary): Now, now. It doesn't suck, but I'm not sure it's good enough to hold off David and you for the two Championship playoff spots.

Claudius (Paul): I hope not.

Caesar (Gary): After starting 0-3, Justin once again is roaring back with five straight wins. He looks to make it six when he faces Tracy, who has lost two in a row. Tracy traded away Waller just in time, so his chances are improved by starting Mark Andrews. Tracy was happy to see the Commissioner dropped Foreman. He needed an RB to fill in for Javonte Williams this week. With Dak heating up, Tracy will need Tua to have a big game against the Chiefs to pull off the upset. Without Stafford, Kupp is no match to counter A.J. Brown who is having his best season ever.

Claudius (Paul): Come on Tracy.

Caesar (Gary): Yes. No one wants to see Justin win another BBB Championship. That's all for this week's show. May the odds be ever in your favor in Week 9. Bye.

Claudius (Paul): Bye, bye.
