WEEK 8 DEBRIEFING

Overview

Happy Election Day! I am going to be so glad when this election is over! I am sure we are in for some fun times over the next few days. Thank goodness we have fantasy football to distract us.

If you were to vote on who you think will win the BBB Championship at this point, who would you vote for? There are a few strong candidates. We have Paul with his high points winning a second high score this week. Tracy with all his tricks still sitting atop the Beards division with a nice two game lead, plus the tiebreaker. Jordan and Linda continue to battle it out for Broads division. Someone has to win the Bros division. My money is on Dana. Like Trump, I am a dark horse candidate who plans to make a late charge.

I think the only way the year 2020 could end is if Paul wins the BBB Championship. It is only fitting this year.

Matchups

Dark Lord Commissioner (114.46) vs Mother Tucker (138.84)

Why oh why did I stick with Jimmy Garbage? I got snookered by the matchup. Only Jimmy Garbage could make the Seattle Defense look like the second reincarnation of the Legion of Boom. His 1.76 points cost me the win, when I could have picked up Stafford. I really need to make all the right moves this year and I am just whiffing here and there. I did get a break (pun intended) by trading Kittle the week before he broke his foot. Bullet dodged there. Even with the loss, I am ready to make my charge to contend for the title this year. Never quit! Never surrender!

Dana needed this win. She has a better chance of winning her division than me. Only thing standing in her way is a lucky Travis. For the second week in a row, she picked the wrong Tampa RB. Seems the touches are trending in Fournette's favor 18 to 11, so it may be time for her to make the switch. Now if Dionte could ever stay healthy. I swear Conner has performed some kind of voodoo hex to transfer his brittleness to Dionte.

Underestim8ed (121.32) vs Check Out My Lightsaber (173.24)

Second week in a row Linda loses to the high score of the week. Tough break. A week after Locket scored 50+ for her, she got a taste of it back when Cook sent off for 50+ against her this week. She falls to second place behind Jordan in the Broads division. The Broads division is surprisingly tough this year.

Paul is breaking away on the Total Points lead with his second high score. He is living the dream! His record doesn't reflect it. but he has the best team in the Beards division. Linda and Jordan are just 55 points behind, so still plenty of time for one of them to snatch the wildcard. Live it up, Paul. You may never have as good of a fantasy season, again.

King of the Crapper (91.32) vs Its On Like Donkey Kong (111.58)

David lived up to his team name again this week. Even after all the trades, his team still couldn't break 100 points. The Le'veon Bell revenge game fell flat. How can KC have two talented RBs and now neither of them are performing against a weak Jets team. SMH. Lamar has no one else to throw to except for Hollywood deep down field. Lamar just isn't accurate enough to make that a winning duo this year. The biggest surprise was the lack of targets for Thielen and Higgins! 4 and 3, respectively. That is atrocious. At least David has plenty of competition this year for who will sit on the Crapper next.

The only reason Tracy won was because it was DK's week. Tracy chased the points with Agholor and got burned. At least it didn't cost him the win. He was sweating it out, though. Tracy is always quick on the waiver wire draw and was able to grab DJ Dallas since Carson was injured this week. Surprised no one tried to block that move. You snooze, you lose.

EW Black (151.46) vs Rolling Dunder (88.66)

A dominate win for my brother which pulls him back out of the bottom four in points. Dang it! Mahomes makes Kelce's job so easy. Unlike Kittle, all Kelce has to do is run up the field and turn around. Mahomes hits him between the numbers and off to the races Kelce goes. Corey Davis has finally broken out after everyone assumed he was a bust. Curtis Samuel had one of those anomalist games where he scores 2 TDs on 3 touches. Of course, it's the Falcons who are doing their best to keep practicing social distancing defense every week. Even with his team's strong performance this week, Schroeder has no chance at winning the Broads division.

Krug is giving David a run for crappiest team in the BBB this year. Josh Stallion has been tamed. It's the season of shame for Krug without Michael Thomas to anchor is squad. On a bright note, JK "Formerly known as joke" Dobbins had a break out game rushing for over 100 yards. JK should be a solid keeper for next year to build upon.

Just Beat Gary (150.34) vs Roodiculous (96.82)

We knew this game wasn't going to be close. Jordan's team is stacked! It was a no brainer that Mahomes would smash against the Jets. What was a surprise was the lack of rushing in the Jets game. Andy just let his boy throw all day. Jordan does have to find another TE after Kittle got re-injured on another poorly thrown ball. Too bad Kittle doesn't have a QB who can throw accurately, so he doesn't have to jump up, do a pirouette, before catching the ball and landing awkwardly. Unlike his previous knee sprain, there is no coming back this year from a fractured foot. Who needs a TE when you have Adams, Hill, Brown to start every week. Was this the breakout game for Zach Moss? If Jordan is able to find another RB to go with Robinson, it's going to be tough for the rest of us. It was going to be whether I made the trade with him or not. Beginner's luck as they say.

Gary is on his way to becoming the first back to back, two-time King of the Crapper. David has competition this year.

Hays Blaze (92.44) vs The Jedi Master (85.52)

What in the world has happened to Justin's team. Back to back Poopsie Awards! The magic has worn off on Mike Davis. Justin is praying CMC returns this coming week. But now his WR1 is out with a hip injury. I really thought the Bucs D would have a great game, but man did they get man handled by the Giants O line. All the talk of Jacobs getting more receptions this year has not materialized. Justin better enjoy his remaining time with the Belt and the Trophy.

It's a Travis-ty that Hays Blaze keeps winning. We've seen this before when Dana kept winning last year posting meager points every week. Will she be the victim of it this year? Travis better enjoy the nice game from Evans. With Brown in town and Godwin back in 1 or 2 weeks, it is probably the last good game Evans has. With Taylor having an ankle issue, Travis needs Chubb back if he is going to have any chance to hold off Dana down the stretch.
