Caesar (Gary): Welcome, welcome, welcome! We've entered the second half of the regular season. Are you excited?! Ha ha ha ha. The last two games have been rough for the Commissioner. He once was tops in the League, but now he is fighting for his life in the Beards division.
Claudius (Paul): I hope he finishes last.
Caesar (Gary): Yes, yes. We know you do, Paul. But, his schedule does become a lot easier over the next three weeks, facing Dana, Ashlyn, and Linda. Those should be three easy victories.
Claudius (Paul): We'll see. Steve got upset by Travis last week, so you never know.
Caesar (Gary): That's a true statement, Paul. We'll have to wait and see the Commissioner's lineup mistake this week. Such a shame his poor lineup decisions cost him wins. He could have been undefeated.
Claudius (Paul): He would have been so insufferable.
Caesar (Gary): Ha ha ha. Indeed. Let's take a look at this week's Power Rankings.
Power Rankings:
Paul
Jordan
James (+1)
Steve (-1)
David
Justin
Tracy
Dana
Gary (+1)
Ashlyn (-1)
Linda
Travis
Caesar (Gary): Not much has changed. Steve drops one spot with the upset you mentioned. The Commissioner moves back up one spot to #3. The only other change is Ashlyn and Gary swapped spots near the bottom. Paul, how are you feeling at #1 halfway through the season?
Claudius (Paul): Something will happen to my players. We can't all have lucky rabbit's feet like the Commissioner.
Caesar (Gary): Travis is looking for a 2nd straight upset, but it will be near impossible the way Kelce has been playing. He's balling out in front of his new beauty.
Claudius (Paul): I'm loving it!
Caesar (Gary): You are projected for the most points this week once you add a kicker to replace Maher, who got the boot. He had been doing well, but McVay has no tolerance for failure.
Claudius (Paul): It shouldn't be an issue. Kickers are a dime a dozen.
Caesar (Gary): In this week's game, we have two 5-2 teams facing off. The matchup between Jordan and David looks to be high-scoring and close. David has made some nice trades to get Barkley and JT on his roster. He's been patient. Now, he is primed for the 2nd half.
Claudius (Paul): Rumours are Tyreek is dealing with a hip injury. It could be time for Waddle to finally pop off.
Caesar (Gary): It's been an off year for the #2 WRs. Waddle, Davonte, Higgins. They've all been underperforming this year. Trading away Andrews before this matchup could bite Jordan. The Ravens offense is starting to gel. I'm not sure I would trust Waller, but he is going for the home run if JJ returns.
Claudius (Paul): Jordan never misses an opportunity to build a super team.
Caesar (Gary): Steve wants to end Justin's four-game winning streak. He started by booting the Lions' DST and picking up the Falcons' DST. They have a nice matchup vs. the Titans.
Claudius (Paul): They can't do worse.
Caesar (Gary): Justin's been riding AJ Brown, who has been on a tear! That can't continue forever. Moss is returning to the bench now that JT has reacclimated to football. Hunt is ready to take the lead in the Browns backfield for Steve. The only issue is if Tyreek is limited with the hip injury. Still, 75% of Tyreek is better than 90% of the other WRs in fantasy. We like Steve's team to continue to dominate after an anomaly in Week 7.
Claudius (Paul): Playing in a weak division must be nice.
Caesar (Gary): Speaking of weakness, Ashlyn has a chance for a rare win this season when she goes against Gary. Ekeler has been gimpy. Jeudy faces a stout Chiefs DST. Gary will need another Mahomes bonanza, which is always possible, but divisional games always seem closer and lower-scoring than expected. The matchup should be close, but we predict another disappointing week for the reigning BBB Champion.
Claudius (Paul): Shame
Caesar (Gary): So it looks like Linda will remain in 2nd place in the Broads by default. She can really help her cause by upsetting Tracy, but that is not going to happen. Tracy is trying to help her, though. He picked up an unknown in Demario Douglas and is starting him at his flex position. He must be pretty confident this week.
Claudius (Paul): He likes to gamble.
Caesar (Gary): Yes, he does. That's all for this week's show. May the odds be ever in your favor in Week 8. Bye.
Claudius (Paul): Bye, bye.
