Week 7 Post-Game Update

Hi Ho! We're halfway through the regular season with another half to go. Gary's team went boom while Travis' team may be doomed. The absurd points total by Gary this week catapults him to 2nd in total points behind Jordan by 23 points. The Kommish is a distant 3rd, 84 points behind. Gary still remains in 3rd place in his division due to David having the early head-to-head tiebreaker. This year it is even easier to make the Championship playoffs with the top two teams in each division making it. At the halfway mark, my brother still finds himself outside looking in as the 3rd place team in the Broads division. The bottom 4 points scoring teams, not in the Championship playoffs, will battle it out in the Crapper bracket for the Crapper King/Queen title. So far, those teams would be Dana, Linda, Travis, and Justin. There's a long way to go. Hope everyone is still having fun even if Dana is dealing with her depressing football team both real and fantasy.

Kermit the Kommissioner (James) vs Scooter (Gary)

123.70 - 237.22

Reginas! Gary has the best game of his life against me. He came up just short of the league record for most points in a single game by less than 1 point. It was quite the ride. I guess if I keep calling JuJu PooPoo, he will continue to ball out. Gary's triple Chief's stack accounted for 7 TDs! I'm happy for Gary. It's been a rough patch for him with all the surgeries. This week should definitely give him a pep in his step. Who knows? Maybe we will see a Gary vs Jordan battle of the cousins in the championship match. With Ekeler dominating and the Chiefs rolling, and Kittle rekindled, anything is possible. Who would have thought? The only thing going for me this week is that almost everyone else in the Beards division lost this week, too. I need to pray Lamar gets back to his running ways. I keep leaving points on the bench. This week, I went with the Lamar/Bateman stack when I should have gone with the Jones/Wan'Dale stack. Oops. In a weird glitch in the matrix, my team scored exactly 123.70 for the second week in a row.

Oscar the Ground (Tracy) vs Animal (Paul)

94.20 - 90.00

Thanks to Josh Jacobs, Tracy somehow squeaks out a win in a low-scoring matchup. Mandrews is apparently hurt. Amon Ra returns only to get concussed. Drake London continues to do nothing on an offense that refuses to throw the ball. The three combined for 3.70 points. Paul got off to a good start when Eno posted over 100 total yards and a TD after I said he didn't impress last week. Geno didn't need to do much with K9 running all over the Chargers. Dillon is droppable. But the death nail was DK getting injured after only posting 1 catch for 12 yards. It was too much to overcome as Paul took a tough loss by 4 points.

BoBo the Bear (Steve) vs Gonzo the Great (Justin)

120.22 - 122.86

Ouch. My brother takes a tough loss to drop him to third in the Broads division behind Ashlyn. All he needed was 5 points from Henry. Too bad his little brother had to put the jinx on him first by predicting he would win this matchup and then just to be safe texting him that Henry would have no problem getting 5 points being the TD king that he is. My brother was pretty salty afterward. With Swift continuing to heal and Singletary and Henderson on bye, Steve rolled out Pacheco who was touted as the Chiefs starter only to see him returning the opening kickoff. Never a good sign. Steve needed more than 43 yards with the TD going to CEH. Next week, Steve can get his revenge by beating the Kommissioner but I doubt he has the guts to place a side bet on it. For Justin, it was a huge win to keep him in Beards contention with the leaders only having a 4-3 record. There's a lot of mediocrity this year in the Beards division but I did trade away a stud WR and RB in Week 3 just to make it fair.

Abby (Ashlyn) vs Miss Piggy (Dana)

115.42- 98.42

Ashlyn took a gamble on the trade to try to align her bye weeks to be stronger against better competition than her mom. It looked touch and go for a while, but her team pulled away when Aaron Jones did something he wouldn't do on the Kommissioner's team...score TDs. Evans could have had an even bigger game if he hadn't dropped the wide-open bomb from Brady that hit him in the hands. Moving forward, she can ride Hurts as her QB. Good timing since Ryan is no longer the starter in Indy. Dana didn't get the memo that Gus was starting. We were at church. Good for the soul, not so much for fantasy. It probably wouldn't have made any difference. Hopefully, Hubbard can give her something at RB, and Jimmy G got an upgrade with CMC. It's a lost season for the pig, but she won't go to the Crapper without a fight.

Janice (Linda) vs Dr. Honeydew

109.74 - 82.28

Linda somehow keeps winning even though she is barely breaking 100 points thanks to Travis winning the Poopsie Award this week. Travis' team imploded against her. Gallup goosed. Keenan took an early bye. Ertz was anemic. Dak was rusty. Elliot got dinged hard on his knee but gutted it out for 2 TDs. That was the lone bright spot for a team that just hasn't been able to find a footing due to injuries. No one in the Beards division is dominating this season, so he isn't out of it, yet.

Elmo (Jordan) vs Fozzy the Bear (David)

137.14 - 94.66

Someone put a hex on the Tucker family. Our luck has sucked in fantasy and real life this year. Just when David thought he had constructed a team to make a run for the Belt, he loses the stud RB he traded for. Breece Hall was looking so dominant, too. He is out for the season with a torn ACL. David dropped Walker for Etienne. He will need Etienne to continue to emerge to take the sting off that drop and to replace Breece. No Russ = No Sutton. With Matty Ice melting in Indy, it is TBD what that does to Pierce, but David has Diggs coming back from bye, so at least he has that going for him. If there was a team I thought would score 200+ this year, it would be Jordan. He probably will before the end of the year. His pants must stay wet roster-bating over his lineup every week. It has been a mystery to me why he keeps playing Pitts. Hell, why is he still rostering Pitts? He may have to since Njoku is injured. There was a lot of chatter on the boards on possible trades to get one of Jordan's stud RBs, but so far no takers. Jordan is stingy with his players. Only injuries can slow Jordan's march to a championship.

BBB Survivor

Linda emerged victorious in BBB Survivor. Both Linda and Travis forgot to make their picks heading into the Sunday night game. This left few options to pick from. Linda picked wisely with the Dolphins, but Chicago's upset over the Patriots ended Travis' run. Congrats, Linda. You finally won something in the BBB League.
