Week 7

Caesar (Gary): Welcome, welcome, welcome to Week 7 of the 9th Annual BBB Games. Week 6 was once again a brutal week for injuries. This week, CMC, Damien Harris, Laviska Shenault, Justin Fields, David Montgomery, Trevor Lawrence, Jimmy G, Kyren Williams, and Deebo Samuel were added to the list. With six teams on bye in Week 7, many lineups will be stretched thin.

Claudius (Paul): I'm stuck playing Latavius Murray! At least I am playing Dana this week.

Caesar (Gary): She's fallen on hard times, losing five straight. She picked up the Steeler DST before waivers, so she has her emotional support defense, at least. She still needs to find a TE since Ferguson is on bye.

Claudius (Paul): Someone must have sniped her waiver claim.

Caesar (Gary): We have late-breaking news that she's picked up Jonnu Smith as an FA. I'm sure the Commissioner sent her a notification. With Lawrence questionable to play on Thursday, she must keep a close eye since her backup QB, Stroud, is on bye. Looks like Travis needs to pick up a kicker, and I still need to pick up a defense. That's pretty easy to do. Other than that, everyone seems to be managing the injuries and bye-pocalypse pretty well. Let's look at the latest Power Rankings, where Paul remains #1 for the second week.

Claudius (Paul): Yeah, yeah. The Commissioner is just trying to jinx me. I'm becoming immune; he tries it so often.

Power Rankings:

  1. Paul

  2. Jordan

  3. Steve (+1)

  4. James (-1)

  5. David (+1)

  6. Justin (-1)

  7. Tracy (+1)

  8. Dana (-1)

  9. Ashlyn

  10. Gary

  11. Linda

  12. Travis

Caesar (Gary): There isn't a lot of movement. The Commissioner drops to 4th after a tough loss to Tracy. No one in the League wanted to see him stay undefeated. He can become quite insufferable. Between injuries and trades, the competition is heating up. David continues to rise but is still third in the Beards division. That puts him outside the Championship playoffs. With Steve and Jordan virtual locks to win their weaker divisions, the question is who can emerge to finish 2nd in Bros and Broads.

Claudius (Paul): You can never count out Justin.

Caesar (Gary): He is the favorite to join Jordan from the Bros division. The real question is which lady will emerge. Linda probably has the weakest of the three teams, yet she managed to win her second game last week, placing her in 2nd place.

Claudius (Paul): Such a high bar in the Broads division.

Caesar (Gary): Dana's luck continues to suck. She lost to Linda in Week 2, which puts her at even more of a disadvantage. Linda has a great chance to extend the lead facing Gary, while Dana has to face the #1 team in the League.

Claudius (Paul): This means she will get the upset.

Caesar (Gary): I sincerely doubt that. Now that the Commissioner has lost one game, he will extend the losing streak facing Jordan. It's still TBD if CMC plays this week with the oblique injury. The Commissioner noticed no one picked Eli Mitchell off waivers and quickly grabbed him as an FA. It will be a tough decision to risk starting him, but it was good to at least block his opponent from getting the handcuff. If CMC doesn't play, Jordan will be left with Keontay Ingram.

Claudius (Paul): Come on, Jordan! Kick the Commissioner's ass!

Caesar (Gary): Now, now, Paulie. This is a family-friendly show. We have two 4-2 teams facing off in our next matchup. David has been surging, winning 3 straight. Tracy entered the game still high after the big win over the Commissioner due to the last-minute interception by Herbert.

Claudius (Paul): You know the Commissioner still feels the sting of losing his undefeated streak.

Caesar (Gary): Tracy gets a boost after trading for Kenneth Walker. It's looking like the Commissioner traded the wrong RB last week. Walker has looked dominant and is converting his goal-line carries, unlike Pollard.

Claudius (Paul): Ouch.

Caesar (Gary): Tua gets another juice matchup vs the Eagles. Kupp is back to prime form. The only blemish is having to start Atwell with Nico on bye. That limits Tracy's upside, but Kupp gets more points than most two WRs combined. David's team is primed for the long run, having acquired Saquon and JT in trades, but they aren't up to speed yet. This gives Tracy the advantage this week.

Claudius (Paul): I like that.

Caesar (Gary): I bet you do. Ashlyn will need to increase the number of shots of Vodka. Somehow, Justin finds a way to stay competitive. He is at the bottom of the Beards division, but after 3 straight wins, he is letting everyone know not to dismiss him. He looks to continue putting the pressure on. He has an uphill battle with Dak and Henry on bye while Ashlyn's team is at full strength, for what it's worth. Stafford has a tough matchup vs. the Steelers. She keeps hoping Devonta will return to his prime like last season, but he continues to let her down. She will need him to come through this week to end her losing streak finally.

Claudius (Paul): I believe in you, Ashlyn. Let's go!

Caesar (Gary): There's not much to discuss in the matchup between Steve and Travis. Steve's team is excellent. Travis' sucks. Free square for Steve in Week 7. In our final matchup, we have a real turd fest. Both Linda and Gary are 2-4. How is one of the great mysteries this year. Hard to believe one of these two teams will be 3-4 after this week. With Burrow, Lamb, and Schultz on bye, the advantage goes to Gary. Ekeler should be better after another week returning from the ankle injury. Mahomes is Mahomes. Even his bad games are still good for fantasy. Gibbs gets his chance to shine without Montgomery. Yep. The Broads division is going to lose another game. At this rate, Steve will have more wins than the rest of the Broads division combined!

Claudius (Paul): Must be nice.

Caesar (Gary): Indeed. That's all for this week's show. May the odds be ever in your favor in Week 7. Bye.

Claudius (Paul): Bye, bye.
