Overview
Survivor comes down to Linda and me. At least there is something I have a chance to win this year. Broads division seems to be two team race between Jordan and Linda. Maybe one year my brother can become competitive again in the BBB. Dana is hanging on in the Bros division where there is more of a parity of mediocrity. Beards is a dog fight and I am the runt.
It was another tough week of RB injuries with Mixon, Ingram, Sanders, and Mostert all getting knocked out of the game this week. Devante Parker makes a return appearance, as usual. Ertz and Jonnu also got knocked out. Not much of a loss with Ertz, but Jonnu was having an amazing start.
Matchups
Dark Lord Commissioner (111.32) vs King of the Crapper (100.94)
Let's have a moment of silence for David. <pause> This is the second time David has started the season 0-6 in the BBB League. It's unbelievable. Just when I thought he was about to make a leap into competitiveness, his team does a hard reverse on him this year. I take no joy in my win this week. We are two craptastic teams and one of us had to lose. David made a funny line that if Gary was Billy O'Brien, he would be the love child of Adam Gase and Dan Quinn.
I had to see what that would look like, so here it is.
The Jedi Master (117.94) vs Underestim8ed (99.76)
Justin gets a sneaky victory which he really needed. Beards continues to be the most competitive division with all of us with records .500 or above. I will admit mine is due to sheer luck of the schedule which will balance it out later in the year. As for the Jedi, he will continue to limp along until CMC gets back. Gibson seems to be losing opportunities in Washington. Higbee is a Higmaybee these days. I am not counting out Justin to make a late run once CMC is back.
Tannehill is turning out to be the QB steal of the year. He is outpacing Mahomes and nobody thinks of Tannehill on par with Mahomes. The loss of Dak and multiple offensive line injuries in Dallas has reduced Zeke to a shell of himself. She really needs the Zeke of old to keep up with Jordan's team. She has to pray nothing happens to Kamara as her season depends on him to anchor this fragile team.
Its On Like Donkey Kong (175.00) vs Rolling Dunder (106.58)
Ugh. Trashy Tracy continues to lead the Beards Division and he gets high score on a week when his entire bench is on bye. Now he is just 3 points from taking the Total Points lead. The Total Points Trophy can't survive another year in Tracy's possession. Sigh. I guess Watson was sandbagging to get Billy Boy fired. He has been on fire ever since the coaching change and he is bringing Cooks along with him. Everything Tracy touches this year is turning to gold in fantasy.
Krug is battling David to see who can sit on the Crapper. Josh Allen's performances the past couple weeks match his hand size...small. Mostert is now out and most likely headed to IR, so he is out at least 3 weeks. At least he gets Thomas back next week, unless he punches another teammate or curses out the coaches again.
Check Out My Lightsaber (146.94) vs Roodiculous (123.62)
Matt Ryan without Julio = Bad.
Matt Ryan with Julio = Good.
It's a pretty simple formula to figure out when to play Ryan which isn't often since Paul also has Mr. Unlimited. Paul continues to cling to the Total Points lead after 6 weeks with a monster game from Henry. Henry is a man among boys and we haven't even gotten to winter, yet. Paul is just loaded at RB this year. Cook will be back after the bye. Henderson looked great even if the fantasy points didn't reflect it this week. Paul's only weakness is at TE. But with Ertz out with an injury, at least it will make it easier for Paul to know the right decision is to always start Hock over Ertz.
Poor Gary takes a tough loss. No Ekeler and now no MG3 has relegated his team to middle of the pack. Now with Ingram out with an injury he is scrambling to find two running backs he can start next week. Maybe MG3's suspension will get delayed so he has at least one decent option until the hammer drops. Worse days are ahead for Gary, though. Cousins won't always have Atlanta to face and Jefferson can't carry this team.
Mother Tucker (168.98) vs EW Black (111.02)
Oh what a difference a healthy Julio makes. Dana was Jonesing for a win and her team delivered with a trouncing of EW Black. Ronald Jones looks like he has secured the TB backfield and is looking good. We all slept on picking up Koo after he was out a week with the injury. Hard to beat a team when their kicker and defense post 20 or more points. Only blemish for Dana was going with Mecole over Demarcus Robinson, but to be fair Demarcus hadn't done much all year. It cost her a high score and getting out of the bottom four in scoring, but she stays in the hunt in the Bros division.
As for my brother, he keeps chasing the points with Odell. That's fools gold, bro. It was a tough week with the loss, but he also lost Sanders for next week at least. At least CEH made his case last night that he is the back the Chiefs need to lean on. We will see how the RB splits with Bell once he is in the house. Kelce continues to prove me wrong posting back to back 20+ games. I hope he can keep it up. Steve needs all the help he can get to stay out of the bottom 4 scorers. He is only 3 points ahead of Dana for the 4th lowest points.
Hays Blaze (79.42) vs Just Beat Gary (96.50)
The one week Jordan's team falters, but Travis couldn't take advantage. Rodgers is such a punk. If things aren't going his way, he just folds. Unfortunately for Travis, it's not like his backups put up numbers either. Edelman is a broken man. Evans is running around on one leg. Travis is going to give David a run to become the first two time Crapper King. This week, he earns the Poopsie Award again for low score of the week and it's also the low score of the year, so far.
Jordan has the new guy luck. Even when he scores less than 100 he still wins. Just seems the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. In addition to Aaron Jones and Robinsons continuing to put up double digits consistently, now he has Swift getting more action. He better play Fuller while he can. Fuller is due for another hamstring injury.
