Week 6

Caesar (Gary): Welcome, welcome, welcome to Week 6 of the 9th Annual BBB Games. Week 5 was brutal with injuries, leading to the Commissioner completing another trade! This week, Justin Jefferson, Achane, Anthony Richardson, James Conner, Tank Dell, Zay Jones, and Travis Kelce got injured. Kelce returned and put up his expected points, but JJ, Achane, AR, and Conner are all on IR now.

Claudius (Paul): Very sad.

Caesar (Gary): Yes, yes, especially for the Commissioner. Star players are dropping fast and at the worst time, with byepocalypse approaching in Week 7. The Commissioner took a big hit with Justin Jefferson and Anthony Richardson going on IR. He traded the wrong QB last week. It must sting to see the QB you traded go off for 4 TDs while the QB you kept gets knocked out early and is now on IR. It sounds like he will be out for several weeks.

Claudius (Paul): Couldn't have happened to a more deserving person.

Caesar (Gary): The biggest hit came when Justin Jefferson came up limp with a hamstring injury. After the game, it was quickly decided to place him on IR. Things are nasty in Minnesota. But, the Commissioner saw an opportunity, and he knew precisely who to target to trade two players on IR, Tracy.

Claudius (Paul): Sucker

Caesar (Gary): Some may wonder why a 5-0 team wouldn't just wait it out. Our reporter asked his Press Secretary.

Press Secretary: The Commissioner did not want to roster 3 players on IR with the bye weeks coming. He saw an opportunity to upgrade his QB position since Tracy had two elite options. He wanted to backfill the huge hole left by JJ. While Amon-Ra is no JJ, he lessons the deficit at the position and will be a fine compliment to go with Diggs.

Reporter: But what about giving up Walker? Wasn't that too much? Walker has been a stud this year.

Press Secretary: The Commissioner felt like he had three great options. It was difficult to give up Walker, but he hopes Jeff Wilson will emerge to fill in. In the meantime, he is okay with the heavy usage Damien Pierce is seeing, even if the points haven't come yet. Overall, he was pleased with the trade and thinks it was a win-win for both sides.

Claudius (Paul): Win-win? Give me a break. The Commissioner fleeced Tracy.

Caesar (Gary): We shall see. If JJ returns after just 4 weeks on IR, then you have to think Tracy got the better end of the deal. So, where does this trade position the Commissioner in this week's Power Rankings? Let's take a look.

Power Rankings:

  1. Paul (+2)

  2. Jordan

  3. James (-2)

  4. Steve

  5. Justin (+1)

  6. David (+1)

  7. Dana (-2)

  8. Tracy

  9. Ashlyn

  10. Gary

  11. Linda (+1)

  12. Travis (-1)

Claudius (Paul): Well crap! I'm in the cursed #1 position.

Caesar (Gary): Better hide your star players.

Claudius (Paul): It's the Commissioner trying to jinx my team.

Caesar (Gary): Let's move on to this week's matchups. The Commissioner just happens to face Tracy, whom he traded Walker to. That could bite the Commissioner in the butt. Tracy picked up Foreman while the Commissioner picked up Roschon. Tracy is hoping Roschon doesn't clear the concussion protocol. The matchups are in Tracy's favor. Tua gets the Panthers. That should be an easy 4 passing TDs with Achane on IR. Kupp is good for at least 25 points vs. Arizona. Walker is in his flex. If he hopes to remain undefeated, the Commissioner has his work cut out for him. We see a rough stretch ahead starting this week against the league maverick.

Claudius (Paul): Beat his ass, Tracy!

Caesar (Gary): Our next matchup has a mother and son facing off. David made a 1 for 1 trade giving Mattison to Travis for Stevenson. Two teams trading each other their crappy players. Dana has been reeling. She is on a four game-losing streak. In her favor, Keenan Allen returns, but we aren't sure Davante won't be a decoy again this week. With Adams nursing the shoulder injury, she is at a disadvantage. She needs JT to take it slow in his return to play. Moss continues to look great, so why rush JT back? Waddle is getting more involved. With Achane out, it should mean more work for Waddle. David may want to stay on the road until his mom gets over another loss.

Claudius (Paul): I'm rooting for Dana.

Caesar (Gary): Paul, it looks like you have an easy matchup this week. The only way Ashlyn can make this game close is if Hockenson goes off with JJ out. Your lineup is loaded. It must be nice to have such a strong roster. Be honest with us. How often are you roster-bating?

Claudius (Paul): Every day, Gary. Every day.

Caesar (Gary): In the Battle of the Nerds, Travis faces off against Justin. Both enter with losing records. Justin has a QB issue. Wilson may get benched the way Payton looks at him. The Commissioner pitied Travis when he traded Fields and James Cook to him. I can see the Commissioner trying to sink Justin to prevent him from making the Championship playoffs. Goedert had a big game last week, so it will be a few weeks before his next one. We'll see if Justin leaves Wilson in as his starter. That would be a mistake against a good Chiefs defense. I give the edge to Travis.

Claudius (Paul): He can't suck every week.

Caesar (Gary): Oh, Travis can. Speaking of having a free square this week, Steve goes against Gary. Somehow Gary is 2-3. He'll get a massive boost with Ekeler finally returning. But it is going to take a lot more than Ekeler to compete against Steve. Cousins faces the Bears. No JJ. No problem. Mostert is back to elite stud with Achane on IR. Tyreek never has a bad game. Nacua is the waiver wire pick-up of the year and a true league winner. Steve's team may double up Gary.

Claudius (Paul): If only Steve actually paid attention to his team.

Caesar (Gary): And finally, another mismatch. The schedule is very lopsided this week. Jordan gets an easy week facing Linda. With Burrow back to health, at least Linda should post more than 100 points. Kittle will return to his dud performances. When you can't win after Kittle scores 3 touchdowns, you're doomed. Once again, all three ladies are facing another loss this week.

Claudius (Paul): That's why there's a Broads division, so they still have a chance for the Belt.

Caesar (Gary): Yes. Ashlyn showed us that last season. That's all for this week's show. May the odds be ever in your favor in Week 6. Bye.

Claudius (Paul): Bye, bye.
