Week 4 Post-Game Update

Hi Ho! All these RB injuries really blow. Both of Travis' starters went down. One for the year. The other is out for at least 4 games. When you consider picking up Boone you know the RB landscape is in ruins. This year has seen the fewest points from the overall RB1 (Chubb) since 1997. If you want to find a nice RB replacement, just wait for me to drop an RB. They will go off the next week. FU Penny! If I would have just been patient and not made any moves, I might have been a Championship contender. But noooooo. Where's the fun in that? At least I did better with the predictions. I went 5-1 in Week 4.

Kermit the Kommissioner (James) vs Miss Piggy (Dana)

140.46 - 115.36

After trading Diggs and Breece, I was lucky to catch Dana on an off week where her Mariota/London stack imploded. I had to dig deep on the waiver wire to find points in unlikely places where Joseph and the Giants scored a combined 35 points. Newly acquired Aaron Jones got over 100 yards rushing but he didn't get much receiving so didn't do much better than Breece who I traded away. Oof. Hurts didn't fly in the monsoon and Pittman was pitiful with only 6 targets. Thank goodness JJ didn't fail me, for a third week in a row.

Dana got off to a hot start with Higgins, but that was the high point. CEH continues to maximize his opportunities adding another 2 TDs. He feels like Conner from last year. Davante got 100 yards receiving, but it just wasn't near enough to overcome Mariota's meltdown against the Browns. I now have to take my beating from Dana for beating her in fantasy. Sorry, babe. Don't hurt me too bad,

Animal (Paul) vs Elmo (Jordan)

150.42 - 154.88

Paul can't catch a break. He needed to get off to a hot start with the clock running out on Gibson. Once Brian Robinson returns, Gibson turns back into a kick returner. Sanders had a career fantasy day wasted on this losing effort. Paul falls two games behind the Kommish in Beards after 4 weeks. The season is young.

Jordan is showing that he has the best team in the League after I blew my team up. I gifted Jordan Penny. While most of us are struggling to find one decent RB, Jordan has three of them it looks like moving forward. Barkley, CMC, Penny, Kamara, Hines. RB HOARDER! It's not fair! Wahhh.

Gonzo the Great (Justin) vs Fozz Squad (David)

120.54 - 140.08

It was a bold call predicting the upset, but David prevailed anyway. I thought he would need more help than he actually got from Diggs. 4 for 62 is anemic for the #1 WR in fantasy before Kupp played. Now Diggs is primed for a big bounce-back game next week against me. David didn't stop with the Daddy discount trade. He then snookered Jordan to get Kyler and Ertz stack which put him over the top even with Russell Wilson having a good game. David's only blemish was picking up and starting his fellow MTSU alumnus Richie James who got -.10 points.

Just took a hit with JT getting hurt. It doesn't sound too serious, but JT was already dealing with a toe issue. Now he has an ankle issue. JT just hasn't looked good. If he does play on TNF, can Justin trust him? Would he have the balls to bench him? The tough loss drops Justin's team to 1-3, three games behind the Kommish in the Beards division. You can never count the 3x Champion out, though. He was 1-4 last year before winning out.

Scooter (Gary) vs Abby (Ashlyn)

133.98 - 129.56

The one game I got wrong this week. I did not expect Lamar to put up quite the stinker. It's not all doom and gloom for Ashlyn. King Henry had another 20+ point game. She needs him to carry her. Evans posted a monster 2 TD 100-yard game, but it just wasn't quite enough to get the win.

With all that Gary has been going through, I am glad his fantasy team has been winning for him. Gary, I hope you are feeling better. Mahomes and the Chiefs' offense made the Bucs D look like a Pop Warner team. Even with Mahomes' 3 TD performance, it still took all of Ekeler's 3 TDs to squeak by Ashlyn. A win is a win.

BoBo the Bear (Steve) vs Dr. Honeydew (Travis)

155.10 - 128.86

Steve makes a big statement in Week 4. Deebo pushed him to a high score over Jordan thwarting my prediction. As Herbert gets healthier, it's only going to get better for Big Bear. It was a boom week for boom/bust Mike Williams. His team was solid top to bottom with only Curtis Samuel posting less than 10 points.

Another loss for the bald one. Worse, he lost Javonte for the year and Patterson for at least a few weeks on IR. Double whammy. Kupp is super duper but not even Kupp can make up for those losses. If it weren't for Hock's heroics of posting a 40 burger, he would have been in the sub-zero territory along with Linda. It's going to be a long season for Travis, but I know he never quits.

Trash to Treasure (Tracy) vs Janice (Linda)

151.30 - 87.58

If Linda keeps winning the Poopsie award we will have to rename it after her. I was thinking of Linda's Loveable Loser award. Her bench combined with her starters would barely crack 100 points. Amari Pooper led the way in the stinker category with 1 catch for 9 yards. It was a rough week for all three ladies in the League.

Pierce is looking like the real deal down in Houston. The question is whether we just saw Josh Jacobs' breakout game or was it just a fluke. Either way, both put up huge scores to power Tracy's team past 150 total points. The points were up this week with 6 out of the 12 teams in the League posting 140 or more points, and 10 out of 12 posting 120+ points. Then there is Linda. So sad.

BBB Survivor

Linda and Travis may not win much this year in the BBB League, but they are the last two remaining in BBB Survivor. Justin got knocked out after picking the Lions this week. Travis and Linda survived picking the Packers. Good luck to both of them next week.
