James (3-1) vs. Steve (0-4)

Projected Winner: James

Actual Winner: James

This matchup was closer than I wanted it to be until the second half of MNF. I might have competed for a high score if I hadn't picked the wrong defense between Miami and the Titans. To be fair, Miami would have feasted on Levis, but he left the game. I knew my DST was doomed once Rudolph, the game manager, came in. It's going to be a long season for Steve. Getting Walker back was amazing! 116 total yards and 3 TDs! It feels so good. Now if only Kyler would get his head out of his butt. I always fall for the Kyler hype. I'm a sucker. I hope Darnold can be more consistent for me while Kyler faces some formidable defenses. The trust is gone. Speaking of trust...what the hell, Breece! Surely, it was just a blip.

Travis (1-3) vs. Justin (3-1)

Projected Winner: Justin

Actual Winner: Justin

You know you suck when your team gets doubled up on points in your matchup. I was getting concerned something had happened to Travis since he didn't submit his emergency players and then didn't remove Mixon [IA] from his lineup. He is getting as bad as Gary! One Gary in the League is enough. Travis assured me he will be more active moving forward. I hope so. We don't tolerate absenteeism in this League. No dead teams are allowed.

Justin continues to dominate the Total Points early, but he took a big hit when Rashee Rice got his knee blown out by Mahomes. Af course, Justin has depth because champions built good rosters. A.J. Brown should return next week to fill the hole in his lineup. Justin's team is super scary with King Henry returning to his throne. It just seems like every player Justin picks up turns to gold like Friermuth. It's not fair.

David (3-1) vs. Jordan (1-3)

Projected Winner: Jordan

Actual Winner: Jordan

Jordan finally got his first win of the season. It wasn't a high-scoring matchup. David's team got cursed by Badie. I warned him. Stevenson may not be long for the starting job in NE because he keeps dropping the ball. Chubb has been activated, so David should be using Ford as much as he can before he is relegated back to the bench. I didn't believe in Aaron Jones or Henry this season due to age. I am an ageist when it comes to running backs. I've been proven wrong so far this year. Both are looking amazing! What's not amazing is the Jets offense. Atrocious! Garrett Wilson needs to step it up. He is not playing like an alpha dog. So far, he ain't him.

Nick (2-2) vs. Paul (3-1)

Projected Winner: Nick

Actual Winner: Paul

This was a nail-biter. LaPorta had the opportunity to give Nick the Monday Night Miracle, but it wasn't meant to be. It shouldn't have been a close matchup, but Nick caught my lineup disease, leaving 55+ points on his bench. You can understand the Swift decision since he had done nothing this year, but sitting Love had to hurt. The clock struck midnight on Carr last week. Nick may be forced to play Swift if JT has a high ankle injury. At least the Colts aren't putting him on IR, so he should be back in 2 or 3 weeks.

While the Chiefs suffer with the loss of Rashee, Paul gains now that Kelce is back catching all the slant routes Rashee had taken over. With the state of TE scoring so far this season, that could be a massive differentiator for Paul as we enter the middle of the season. As usual, the Beards' division will be brutal to see who finishes in the top two places.

Cory (4-0) vs. Linda (3-1)

Projected Winner: Cory

Actual Winner: Cory

Of course, the one player I don't want to be undefeated is undefeated. The fantasy gods love to see me suffer. Cory smashed Linda! It's a beautiful thing to see your entire starting lineup with double-digit points. Lamar is returning to MVP form with Henry behind him. Nico is going nuts as the main man in Houston. Even Addison is looking good. First it was Jordan who almost wins the Belt in his first year. Then Ashlyn did win the Belt her first year. What is it with beginner's luck in the League?

The good news for Linda and fellow Dolphins players, it looks like Tua will return this season. Watching the current Miami offense will give you a migraine. It is so bad. Linda's lack of depth on her bench is starting to show. Flowers is droppable. She must keep looking for waiver wire options to help her down the stretch. Injuries haven't even impacted her yet. It's going to be a rough stretch until Tua returns.

Ashlyn (1-3) vs. Gary (1-3)

Projected Winner: Gary

Actual Winner: Ashlyn

Boy, did I get this prediction wrong! Where did all these points come from for Ashlyn? The 49ers DST for one. She didn't make the same mistake this week sitting Reed. Reed isn't a flashy name, but man does he produce for fantasy. Ashlyn pass-catchers are elite. She could be a strong late-season contender if she can hold out until CMC returns. That's a big IF for CMC. It is still unclear when he will.

As for Gary, at least he set a lineup without any players on IA or OUT. We have low expectations for him, and winning isn't one of them. Every League needs its Taco. Gary is our Taco Loco.
