Week 3 Post-Game Update

Hi Ho! No one is three and o. Kermit the Kommissioner here reporting on the Week 3 games. After Week 3, there are no undefeated teams in the League. Jordan got upset by Linda and my luck ran out against Travis. David earned his second Poopsie award posting a putrid 75.20 points this week. I felt so bad for him coming into Week 3 that I made him a great deal to acquire Aaron Jones. He needs all the help he can get. I figured no one said anything about the trade since I was on the losing end of it. The stud running backs mostly continue to struggle, except for Saquon and Chubb. Now the stud WRs had an off week with JJ posting back-to-back stinkers. Keep grinding. Anything is possible this year as evidenced by Linda almost getting a high score. On to the matchups where once again I went 3-3.

Kermit the Kommissioner (James) vs Dr. Honeydew (Travis)

122.40 - 135.16

Once again Hurts got out to a hot start posting 30 points in the first half. He didn't need to do much more in a blowout at Washington. That was the high point of my team this week as the rest of my team fell flat. Not even the end-of-game TD by the Browns D could save me this week. After trading Diggs away to David, I really need the Vikings to figure it out. Two weeks of Jefferson sucking is not what I expected when I made the trade. The Lions' secondary has been locking down WR1 this year so take note. This new-look Lions team is for real even if they lost this week.

Travis needed this win in a big way to boost his morale. With Kupp only getting 6 targets, he needed the huge 19-target game from Hollywood Brown. How often will that happen? Of course, Kupp gets the 20-yard rushing TD to post another double-digit score. I wasn't a Patterson believer but he just keeps putting up monster numbers as a 31-year-old. The Beards division almost had another high score, but Travis fell just short of passing former Beards division member, Tracy.

Gonzo the Great (Justin) vs Animal (Paul)

110.30 - 130.50

Paul gets his second win in a row, but not the win he most wanted in the Beards division. Josh Allen continues to be in beast mode passing for 400 yards and rushing for 47. Conner was ineffective on a sore ankle and Gibson's time is running out before Brian Robinson eventually returns. Kelce had a nice points day but it could have been better if he caught the ball in the endzone that went through his hands!

Like last year, Justin's team is off to a slow start. Mixon is being muffled behind the revamped Bengals O line that still hasn't meshed, yet. Matty Ice is keeping the Colts offense cold which is hurting JT's opportunities. Garret Wilson got his ribs rocked so he may not be as great moving forward. Justin does have CeeDee Lamb who went off for 22.7 points on his bench this week. This matchup came down to the QB and TE where Justin's team was simply outmatched.

Miss Piggy (Dana) vs Scooter (Gary)

103.96 - 123.78

I guess I may need to rethink my Achilles bias for running backs. Robinson is looking great after tearing his last year. Between Robinson's hundy and a touchdown performance, the Eagles D smashed Wentz into the ground for 9 sacks. Ekeler's usage is still a concern for Gary, though.

Dana chose the wrong defense this week. She went with her heart and picked the Steelers against the Browns instead of the Bengals vs the Jets. At least she can take comfort that the lineup blunder didn't lose her the game. Her team simply didn't have the numbers this week to beat Gary. Panic alarms are going off with DJ Moore. Baker is a bust and taking everyone down with him. Dana hopes her starters stay healthy because her bench is trash. It could be a long season for her.

Trash to Treasure (Tracy) vs Fozz Squad (David)

136.82 - 75.20

This matchup was never in doubt as David's team never got going. Flacco flopped. The Bucs kept the Packers RBs contained as expected. Engram reverted to form. And Wentz was looking down at grass all game so Dotson was left with nothing to work with. It all led to an abysmal 75.20 points for another Poopsie award for David. He has Diggs and Breese on their way to see if they can help salvage his season. If David sits on the Crapper again, we may have to rename the blowup doll after him.

Tracy earns his first high score on the back of another monster game from Mandrews. Move over Kelce. There is a new TE1 moving forward. The Broncos took advantage of Jimmy Garbage's first full game. There are some clouds on the horizon though as the Sun god, Amon-Ra St. Brown got hurt this week. Stevenson looked good on Tracy's bench, but can you ever trust a NE running back? He will bust as soon as Tracy starts him.

BoBo the Bear (Steve) vs Abby (Ashlyn)

104.30 - 135.82

Ashlyn almost had her first high score but fell just short in her dominating win over her Uncle Steve. It's hard to lose when Lamar is going ballistic every week. She was tempted on draft day to be like her mom and go with her heart drafting Burrow, but she remembered my advice that you should get a QB who can throw and run over a QB who just throws. Henry finally awoke from his slumber to rumble for 85 yards and a touchdown. It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows since Montgomery got knocked out early. What could have been if he hadn't gotten hurt? He probably would have scored 20+ easily since Herbert went on to post 30+ on her Dad's bench.

Steve continues to pick the wrong flex, but at least his lineup yips wasn't the reason he lost this week. He was just outmatched by Ashlyn's players. The days of Lutz being clutch are over as he missed two field goals to finish with negative points this week. Ouch. With Swift even more dinged up now with a shoulder and an ankle, he will need Singletary to step up to fill the void if he hopes to ever escape the Broads division.

Janice (Linda) vs Elmo (Jordan)

132.10 - 114.36

Well, miracles never cease. Linda beats Jordan for her first win of the season. Burrow balled out against the Jets. Steve's pain is Linda's gain. With Swift hurt, Jamaal Williams is feasting. He scored two more touchdowns this week. He is this year's, James Conner. Cooper has been Super Dooper for a second week. It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows this week for her. She lost another starter when Sterling Shepard went down with a bad knee injury. He is most likely done for the year. No worries, Waddle is waiting in the wings. After another 100-yard game against a tough Bills D, Linda should never bench him again...EVER! It cost her a high score.

Jordan is getting to feel the Kyler Murray experience. It doesn't feel too good, does it? CMC showed some signs of life but you have to wonder if this is his high mark with Baker as QB. At least Saquon is performing up to the stud RB level. Pitts finally showed some signs of life so maybe he can emerge to be the TE1 he was drafted to be. After 3 weeks, his roster is looking shaky for a 2-1 team. It's going to be a roller coaster with the low-floor, high-ceiling players on his roster. Unfortunately for Jordan, this week too many of his players performed at their floor.

BBB Survivor

After three weeks, three remain alive. Dana got knocked out after choosing the Chiefs to win. Oops. Now she really hates the Chiefs. Only Linda, Justin, and Travis remain alive.
