Situation
After the Week 2 injury apocalypse, I was reminded of the dialogue in Ghostbusters:
Dr Ray Stantz: What he means is Old Testament, Mr. Mayor, real wrath-of-God type stuff.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Exactly.
Dr Ray Stantz: Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies. Rivers and seas boiling.
Dr. Egon Spengler: Forty years of darkness. Earthquakes, volcanoes…
Winston Zeddemore: The dead rising from the grave.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together – mass hysteria.
I'm not sure we can handle another week like the last one.
Trades have been hot and heavy as we are all looking on how to fill our weaknesses in our rosters. The vast number of injuries are hastening the activity. It seems Tracy doesn't like it when we are the ones making the maverick moves when it is usually Tracy who is making them. Another sign that we are truly in the apocalypse.

Dark Lord Commissioner vs Check Out My Lightsaber
Paul's team is running at full strength. Prior to this week, I wasn't sure who was the favorite for the Beards Division between Paul and Justin, but after all of Justin's injuries Paul is the clear favorite. I wasn't a Diggs believer with him going to a new team, but dayum he has been lighting it up with the Josh Stallion! It's hard to find a weakness on the Wicket's team.
As for my team, I am a one legged man going into an ass kicking contest. They say Adams hammy is no big deal. Yeah, right! I will believe when he gives me another 20+ point game. I am hoping they hold Kittle out this week since they are playing on the garbage turf at MetLife stadium. Don't be a hero, Kittle! I need you fully healthy. Even if he does come back this week, he has Nick Mullet Mullins throwing to him. I'm not tilting, you're tilting.
The Jedi Master vs Its On Like Donkey Kong
Tracy is so damn lucky he gets to face the Jedi Master right after he loses CMC. He needs all the help he can get with DJ facing the Steeler defense and trusting Fitzmagic on TNF. I don't blame him for going with Fitz, since Deshaun at the Steelers is just brutal. Now that Tracy has the WR1 in Atlanta to go with the WR1 in Seattle, he is primed for a strong run. Go suck on a Donkey's Kong Tracy!
As for Justin, even without CMC his team is very good as long as they can keep Jacobs healthy. Jacobs is a pain freak who played through a fractured shoulder last year, so I don't expect Jacobs to miss time unless his leg is amputated. It's fortunate that the 49ers lost Mostert just in time for Justin to swap in McKinnon for CMC. The Force is always strong with Justin, but think this week he will come up short.
Mother Tucker vs Roodiculous
Dana has a dilemma now figuring out who to start in the TB backfield. Belichick isn't going to allow Waller to run free all day, so I expect the NE/LV game to be lower scoring than the past two weeks for the Raiders. Mixon gets to face the porous Philly run D. If Dana doesn't get a good game from him this week, it may not come this year.
Bucs run D should be able to handle MG3. Brees' arm looks like it is about to fall off. Gary does get a bump with the news that Hebert will be QB for Ekeler again this week. Scotty Miller isn't a thing especially with Godwin back and Judge Jeudy has either Driskel throwing it to him. Warning. Warning.
The projections don't show it, but I lean Dana this week.
Hays Blaze vs Rolling Dunder
Hays' Chubb and Taylor stack is impressive and Dak loves to lock onto Cooper. This is the week to see if Rodgers is really back or if he was just facing really bad defenses. With Godwin back, Evans won't feed as much and Edelman may have spent all his gas last week.
As for Krug, he will always have a chance as long as Allen is doing his best Lamar impersonation this year. However, Gurley is used up and Conner is always one hit away from IR. DJax is just a lottery ticket. He could explode, but more likely to disappoint. Engram has shown nothing at the TE position, but they've faced tough defenses and now get a depleted SF unit. Unless Special K gets another 40+ out of Allen, I just don't see him winning this week.
EW Black vs Underestim8ed
Linda's team is hot hot hot. It's almost unfair to have the Zeke/Kamara stack. Now she gets to watch Tannehill face the craptastic Vikings defense. Just those 3 players could go for a 100 this week. It's obvious that with MT, Kamara is Brees go to guy.
Steve will need to hope for some Minshew magic this week. CEH faces a tough Ravens D so his upside is capped. At least Montgomery has a nice matchup vs the Falcons who can't stop anyone. Steve has a good team, but not a team that can compete with Linda's at this point in the season.
Just Beat Gary vs The Tatooine Twin Suns
The newcomer has been impressive with his start. It was fortuitous that Mike Davis fell in his lap with the 2nd waiver priority after CMC injury. It was an interesting trade between Jordan and David on the same week they face each other. David was desperate for another RB to start and Jordan gave him Drake. SMH. Jordan is such a nice guy.
You can never count out David as was seen last year when he made a strong late season push, but this week his moves won't save him from going 0-3.
