WEEK 2 MATCHUP BRIEFING

Situation

After Week 1, all three divisions seem to have good parity. The Beards Division continues to prove it is the toughest division in the BBB; while, the Bros Division is looking pretty weak. It's only Week 1 and with all the injuries things are sure to get shuffled.

Intelligence

Dark Lord Commissioner vs Its On Like Donkey Kong

Tracy should get points deducted for his team name...lame. I hope he enjoyed DJ's performance last week as it is most likely his high water mark for the season. This week both his QB and top RB go against the formidable Ravens D. Good luck with that. My QB also faces a stout front 7 in Washington, but I like his chances to scramble and create plays. I am still struggling to find a RB gem. It was tough deciding between Snell or Hines on the waivers, but I am going for the home run hitter in Snell if he can take the lead role away from the oft injured Conner. I would feel better about my odds if I knew the status of Kittle and Godwin. I have a feeling the fantasy gods are going to even things up after my upset win last week.

The Jedi Master vs Check Out My Lightsaber

The Bucs front 7 is underrated. Dreams of a repeat CMC monster season are disappearing with the presence of Bridgewater which is odd since Teddy usually likes to dump it off. Looks like John Brown is also plagued by a foot injury, so his week 2 status is still TBD. Dak should eat against the Falcons. On the other side, Paul also has a tough QB matchup going up against the Pats secondary. I don't believe in the Jags defense even though they played with heart last week. Henry will get his. While T.Y. is no Adams, I think the Vikings are the get well defense this year for QBs and WRs. This one should be close. I give the edge to Paul just to jinx him.

Mother Tucker vs Rolling Dunder

I will assume Krug will start Mostert (Must-Start) this week over Crippled Conner. Losing MT was huge as he probably would of had a huge bounce back game against the Raiders. Dana should get an upgrade at her RB2 position when she acquires RoJo this week assuming Fournette continues to look like he is running in mud. Dana is stacked at the WR position and as long as Cam is going to run it 15 times a game, I like her odds of winning, especially this week.

Hays Blaze vs Roodiculous

Travis had low score last week. He will compete to have it again this week. For someone who sits next to Justin the Jedi Master during the draft, Travis can't draft worth sh*t. Travis does get a bump now that JT is the lead dog in Indy, but Gronk is still old and busted. For Gary, MG3 looked pretty decent in his Denver debut. Now with Lindsey out with turf toe, MG3 has the chance to show he can produce as the bell cow. The Chargers should be playing from behind against the Chiefs which bodes well for Ekeler. I have Gary winning again this week not because his team is good...it is just better than the craptastic Hays Blaze squad.

EW Black vs Just Beat Gary

Steve got a gift from David last week, this week he faces a tough matchup against Jordan. The Chargers do have a good pass rush, but Mahomes laughs in the face of pass rushers. We will see if A.J. Green can stay healthy for another game, but he should have a good game against an atrocious Browns team. Steve is praying for Sanders to come back. Relying on Montgomery is not great for his odds, especially when he has ODB who can't get a pass thrown even close to him. We will see if the Lizard King ("Sammy Watkins") can break his regular season habit of showing up on week 1, but then disappearing the rest of the season. I am going with the newcomer to get his first win in the BBB.

Underestim8ed vs The Tatooine Twin Suns

David had a heartbreaker last week. This week, he bounces back against Linda. Lamar is going to light it up against Houston. Barkley won't get stuffed this week and Hopkins has already shown that he needs no time to have chemistry with Kyler. With no MT in NO, Kamara is going to get extra attention this week in Vegas. I don't like his odds for having a huge game. He was bailed out last week with the pair of TDs. With Everett hurt in LA, that should force McVay back to using 11 personnel more often which favors Kupp. No -8 from David's defense this week.
