WEEK 15 MATCHUP BRIEFING

Situation

PLAYOFFS! The stakes are raised this week as 4 teams vie for the Championship Belt and 2 teams vie for the Total Points Trophy. Once again, the Beards division is well represented with 2 teams. Let's get right into the matchups.

Intelligence

CHAMPIONSHIP PLAYOFF

(#1) Check Out My Lightsaber vs (#4) Hays Blaze

Paul is dominating this matchup at the key RB and WR positions. Henry could post 40 vs the Lions and Cook should still have a good game even against the stingy Bears D. We all saw what TY did vs Houston 2 weeks ago. It's time for an encore performance this week.

You can't look past Travis this week with Rodgers tearing it up this year. Travis beat Paul earlier this year. Taylor has a good matchup vs Houston, too. It's hard to trust McKissic, especially if Haskins starts. Travis had a good year playing in a weak division, but his dream of wearing the Belt falls this week.

(#2) Just Get Healthy vs (#3) Its On Like Donkey Kong

This game should be a good battle this week. Mahomes has a tough matchup vs a very stout Saints defense. No CMC, either. Davis should still do fine vs GB. You just get the sense that Adams and Tyreek are due for a letdown game at the worst possible time. Just a gut feeling which could just be gas.

Paul says I am lucky, but no one has more luck than Tracy. This week he has Akers facing the Jets D. LOL. Ridley should have another very good game vs TB secondary. Tracy worked that waiver wire well, too. He beat everyone to the Bills D facing Denver. Tracy has never failed to make the finals when he's made the Championship Playoffs. I think he stuns Jordan this week.

CONSOLATION PLAYOFF

(#5) Underestim8ed vs (#8) The Jedi Master

Justin did well to escape the Crapper last week. Can he escape with a win this week? He has some big lineup decisions to make. Hurts or Goff? Jacobs or Singletary? Cook or Fant? After getting burned by the stomach bug last week, it may be tough to trust Fant on Saturday. Heck, it's tough to trust any TE not named Kelce. Taysom has looked decent so far and he does look to Cook. Taysom > Luck. You have to love Hurts upside running the ball, but Goff has a nice matchup vs Jets. However, Goff seems to come up small when you expect him to have an easy day. I would run with Hurts.

Taysom is starting to figure out how to throw the ball to Kamara. AJ Brown should make more sweet TD catches this week vs the Lions. However, there are just too many boom/bust players on Linda's side. Hard to know what Lockett will do. Belichick will lock down Tua, so Miami D may be on the field a long time on Sunday. Linda's teams don't know how to finish. I think Justin wins this round.

(#6) Dark Lord Commissioner vs (#7) EW Black

I am not sure why I made a side bet with my brother. Maybe I am feeling sorry for him. Whatever the reason, he definitely has an advantage over me this week. Kyler has been a shell of himself since the shoulder injury, but need upside so will roll the dice with him that he gets back to running more now that a few weeks have passed. I reserve the right to change my mind though. I will need Godwin to have a big game againt Atlanta, but Brady spreads the ball around too much for that to happen. I can only hope Julio doesn't play and maybe Gage can give me a solid WR2 performance. My hopes of Aaron Jones having a RB1 performance have long since been extinguished.

With RoJo having surgery, TB12 should have to throw it all day against the Falcons. I see 4TDs on Sunday. Kelce will get his as he always does. #1 overall receiver in fantasy. FML. I need Sanders to return to crappy form for me to have a chance this week. I like my brother to stomp me. Maybe that will lift his spirits to finally finish ahead of me in BBB.

CRAPPER PLAYOFF

(#9) Mother Tucker vs (#12) King of the Crapper

This week is not going to be fun for me. Dana is in serious jeopardy of sitting on the Crapper. She has no running backs and no QB to rely on. She is going to have to pray that Dionte stops dropping balls and that her WRs and Steeler D can bail her out this week.

If David was ever going to win a game, it would be this week. Lamar is heating up, finally, and faces the Jaguars. Haskins actually should help McLaurin which is odd to say. This one is going to be close. I am not sure who will win it. I am sure of one thing. If David beats his mom this week, it will be a long week at the cabin in the Smoky Mountains for David. He may want to make alternate plans for Christmas.

(#10) Roodiculous vs (#11) Rolling Dunder

The dumb and dumber matchup here. On the Dunder side, this should be a great game for Dobbins vs Jags D, but Conner nor any other Steeler RB is worth anything. So strange for the Steelers to not be able to run the ball. Poor Ben's arm is dead already. MT should also have good volume in what should be a high scoring game vs the Chiefs. Josh Stallion should be decent vs Denver but you never know if you will get the 30 point Stallion or the 17 point gelding. That's about the extent of the bright spots for Krug.

Things aren't any better on Gary's side. Since cutting his hair, Hebert has lost all his fantasy power. Like Dobbins, Ekeler should have a good game vs the Raiders. I believe JJ can get it down even against a tough Bears secondary. I don't have much faith in Drake vs Eagles front, though. It's going to be close, but I give the edge to Krug this week to escape sitting on the Crapper.
