Situation
Final week of the regular season. Not much for most of us to play for, except Steve, Dana, and Justin. It's been a long season. When the season started, many questioned if the NFL should even be playing much less that we would get to Week 14. Personally, it's been nice to have fantasy football as a distraction each week. Now onto the matchups!
Intelligence
Dark Lord Commissioner vs The Jedi Master
It's been a disappointing season for both Justin and I. Gibson is pretty much OUT for this week, Jacobs is a long shot, Booker is a bust, and Singletary faces the Pitt D. But they haven't been that scary lately. Unfortunately for me, he still has Robinson who I should have traded for instead of Jones. I am sure JRob will have a big game along with Fant.
I would like to win just to keep my League leading winning percentage up even if it won't make much difference from a seeding perspective. My problems is I don't have any players I feel I can count on. Every one of them can have a great game or a goose game. It's should be a close matchup, but I think Justin will edge me out. It seems to be the theme for me this year.
Its On Like Donkey Kong vs Check Out My Lightsaber
Paul won the first matchup. He may want to let Tracy win the second. I found out last year that it is hard to beat a team 3 times in one season. You can shake your head at Tracy's methods, but they do work...most of the time. His lineup is stout. Deshaun balls every game regardless of his receivers. Carson is back with Akers heating up. DK is a beast. Corey Davis wants to get paid so he finally decided to play well this season after most left him for dead. It's a tough matchup this week for Cooks.
On Paul's side, he really needs Wilson to start cooking again. Wilson has just been simmering lately. Henry should have a nice bounce back game, but Cook has a tough matchup vs the Tampa front 7. Diggs will get his against the Steelers who are struggling lately. This game comes down to how many touches Hunt will get. Paul may want to play Hilton with a good matchup against the Raiders. The downside is that TY only seems to play well against Houston now. I like Tracy to edge out Paul this week before the main matchup in Week 1 of the Championship Playoff.
Mother Tucker vs Hays Blaze
Dana needs points, points, points. Her team has just rolled up and died on her. Her Steeler D is going to have their hands full with Josh Stallion. Keenan should feast at Atlanta, but their D has been playing better. They aren't a pushover anymore. Dionte Johnson would be top 5 if he didn't have butter fingers. Dana needs a good game from RoJo and pray she can keep pace with my brother to avoid the Crapper Playoff.
Travis made it to the Big Dance, but he better enjoy his win this week against Dana while he can. He will be one and done in the Playoff once he gets there. I can't wait to whoop his a** next year, when he is back in Beards Division.
Rolling Dunder vs Roodiculous
Hebert should post 4 TDs against the Falcons even with their improved defense. Ekeler should be the recipient of at least 1 of them. JJ should get plenty of targets in a high scoring game, since teams can't run on Tampa. Rudolph will probably disappoint again, but that is pretty much anyone other than Kelce this year.
Dobbins has looked really good with the eye test, but doesn't get enough touches. I think he would be the favorite for Krug's keeper if Ingram is let go. MT's upside is nerfed with Taysom. 20 points is the max you can expect these days. While things may seem dire for Krug, he has the Saints stout D facing the Eagles and Hurts. That should be fun to watch. I am calling for the upset (if you can call it that). Krug over Gary.
EW Black vs King of the Crapper
Steve plays David. Easy win. The bigger question is how many points will Steve score? Kelce will get his 20. Montgomery should get 20 against Houston. ARob, yeah, another 20. I can see 120 points from Steve this week. Dana can't afford to have another sub-100 week.
It will take a small miracle for David to NOT sit on the Crapper next draft.
Score More Than Paul vs Underestim8ed
Jordan likes to change his team name almost as much as than Tracy likes to make waiver moves. It's a tight points race between Paul and him. With CMC presumably back this week, Jordan is projected for 148+ points every week remaining. Good luck to those in his path. This week, Linda will get smashed.
