WEEK 14 DEBRIEFING

Overview

What a sucky fantasy week for me. In the two leagues I had best record and #1 seed, I was knocked out in the first round of the playoffs. I am down to one league where I still have a chance to win the overall league title. I blew chunks with my picks this week. Last place for the week. Ugh. Just when I was on a mini-roll. And then there is my matchup with Justin.

What a game on MNF for fantasy. Justin is slowly eating away at both Dana's points lead and my lead head-to-head lead over him. Baltimore scores their 5th TD after the Mayfield INT sets them up for an easy TD. You knew it was over, but wait! The PAT is BLOCKED! Then Lamar leaves the game and goes to the locker room. Surely the Browns can stop McSorely? Things are looking good until Lamar makes his triumphant entrance and throws the TD to Hollywood! Baltimore scores their 6th TD and go for 2 point conversion. Tucker is stuck on 4 points. Under 2 minutes to play, all Baltimore D has to do is make one stop and the game is over. Nope! They allow the Browns to march down for a TD in less than a minute to tie the game with a little over a minute to play. Crap! I see what is about to happen. Lamar marching the Ravens down to the 37 yard line and Tucker kicks the 55 yard field goal with 2 seconds remaining to pull out the win over me and put Dana in the Crapper Playoff!

It was an exciting end to the regular season with the final Crapper playoff slot coming down to MNF. With the close of the Regular Season, we have our final high score tallies.

Congrats to all the weekly high scorers this year.

Don't forget about the BBB NFL Playoff Challenge (Group Home - NFL Playoff Challenge - NFL.com). So far, only Jordan has joined. No money. Just something fun to do while we watch the Chiefs try to win back-to-back Championships.

Now it is time to focus on the Playoffs! We have four teams in the Championship that can all take the Belt. Travis' team is healthy and hot. Tracy is always dangerous with his moves. Jordan has been going back and forth with Paul for most points all season. Good luck to each of you, but I really don't want Tracy or Travis winning it which means one of them will!

LEAGUE PLAYOFF STANDINGS

Matchups

Dark Lord Commissioner (89.54) vs The Jedi Master (93.78)

When I setup the league schedule at the beginning of the season, I hoped this week would be a battle between Justin and I for a Championship playoff spot. Instead it was a battle of two losers who couldn't even make it to 100 points. Talk about ending the regular season on a whimper.

My coaching score is perfect this week cause my bench sucks even worse than my starters. Josh Jacobs decided to get cute on Twitter. What a douchebag. Just twist a knife into all your fantasy owners. I don't like fantasy players posting nasty crap to players Twitter feeds, but also don't like players trolling fantasy owners. This stupid game is brutal enough. Especially losing on a last second FG. FU Justin. BOTH OF YOU!

Its On Like Donkey Kong (153.16) vs Check Out My Lightsaber (187.84)

Paul blowing up the points again! My season long Total Points record is in serious jeopardy. Imagine our Records page being dominated by Paul's ugly mug shot. SMH Paul sweeps Tracy for the regular season. We will see if Paul can do what I have never been able to do...beat Tracy 3x in the same season.

These are two great teams destined for an epic playoff matchup, but it will have to wait until the Championship match if they can both get there. Paul's reward for season long high score and the #1 seed is that he gets to face Travis. LOL

Mother Tucker (95.06) vs Hays Blaze (152.20)

Dana's team has been melting. She can't pick a QB to save her from the Crapper Playoff. Dionte get's benched for another 2 drops. Worse, her beloved Steelers are falling flat. It was too much for Dana to take Sunday night. I had mercy on her and turned off the game before halftime. The final cruel twist was watching Tucker slowly send her to the Crapper Playoff. Next week, we are having a family Christmas in the Smoky Mountains. I fear for my son's safety if he beats his mom next week.

As for Travis, I have to give him his due. His team is finishing strong behind Chubb & Taylor. His top 3 are dominant now, but he needs his WRs to come through for him if he wants a shot at the Belt.

Rolling Dunder (81.00) vs Roodiculous (107.12)

We're going to have some crap-tastic teams battling for the dishonor of sitting on the Crapper. Apparently, Gary didn't get the notification that Rudolph the flatfoot reindeer was inactive. That or he just doesn't care at this point. Even without a TE playing, he still easily beat Krug.

It's hard to say who is the favorite to sit on the Crapper. Any given week these teams can post sub-100 scores.

EW Black (172.64) vs King of the Crapper (73.30)

Like a bear coming out of hibernation, my brother's team has awaken and hungry posting 140+ points in 3 of his last 4 games. He left no doubt that he has no place in the Crapper playoff. Too bad Paul beat him for high score this week. Next week he will get the chance to finally finish ahead of me in the BBB League when we face-off in the Consolation bracket. Side-bet incoming. Loser has to pay the winner's league fee next season. I figured my brother would go for that rather than having to change is team logo to his All Bear photo if he lost.

David is the most consistent at posting sub-100 scores, so I guess he is the favorite to sit on the Crapper heading into the Crapper Playoff. His momma is not going to be happy if he beats her next week.

Just Get Healthy (154.12) vs Underestim8ed (117.28)

Linda's fall continues as she loses her 7th out of the last 9 matchups. Like Gary, she didn't get the notice that Gaskin was placed on Covid list. Not that it would matter. Justin's team is just too strong with Adams and Tyreek posting TDs every week. Next year we will have to have a "no trade" clause with Jordan. Can't have him getting all cocky on us. That is my job. Jordan lost his points lead so now he has to face Tracy in the first round of the Championship Playoff.
