Week 14 Briefing

Whelp. The flu is kicking my butt this week. Thankfully, there aren't many meaningful matchups this week to go over. The playoff teams are all decided. Only seeding and the chase for the Total Points trophy remain. For those new to the League, Total Points runs through Week 17, so every week's matchup counts even if you have a Bye in the playoffs.

In the Championship Playoff bracket, there is a battle for the Top 2 in points to earn the Week 15 bye. Currently, Cody has the #1 seed and Linda the #2 seed, but Jordan is within striking distance.

Cody: 1,774.80

Linda: -4.96

Jordan: -39.24

So if Linda can outscore Cody by 4.97 points and Jordan can outscore Cody by 39.25 points, Cody would fall to the #3 seed. I would hate to see that happen. Word has it: Cody is trying to pick up Herbert off the waiver wire this week after I dropped him off. It would be a shame if someone with a higher waiver priority picked him up. I'm sure Herbert will have a monster game for someone else in a good matchup.

In the Consolation Playoff Bracket, two teams vie for the last spot in the Crapper Playoff: Steve and Justin. Steve needs to outscore Justin by 26.15 points to escape. It's a bad week for Justin to be without King Henry. Steve will need Pachecho to return to form and dominate the touches on Sunday night. Justin hasn't scored more than 115 in 6 weeks. 26.15 is a big number to overcome. Steve will get close but fall short.

As for me, I am swinging for the fences to try and compete for the Total Points Trophy. My chances are slim, with Breece continuing to play with a bum knee. Come on, Breece. The season is over. Rest. Give Allen a chance to finish the season. Maybe if it was just one of you running the ball you could get me 10 points...maybe. I am going to YOLO with Winston and enjoy the ride...I hope. I'm playing for pride and to get another game up on Justin.

Projected Winners:

James

Jordan

Steve

Linda

Cody

Ashlyn
