WEEK 12 MATCHUP BRIEFING

Situation

With tomorrow being Thanksgiving, I wanted to pause and express my sincere thanks for each of you being part of this League. It's been a crazy year!

Tracy, your constant roster tinkering and moves are always fun to pick at even if battling you every year for the division title isn't as much fun.

Paul, your bombastic posts always brings a laugh. You are the Bluto of the League and I love having you in it.

Justin, one of my fellow techies in the League. Some may call us nerds, but we know nerds rule the world.

Travis, another techie but Travis doesn't rule over anything...not even in his own home. 😂 I love talking trash to Travis. Like a little dog, you are so funny when you get fired up!

Gary, thanks for bringing in Jordan to the League. At least you've done one thing to make the League more competitive. Wish I could say the same about your team. Thanks for rocking the Crapper this year and allowing us to laugh with you.

Krug, it was great learning more about your business and future plans at the draft. It is evident you are a savvy businessman even if you are crappy fantasy football player.

Jordan, you entered the League like Vince McMahon. You've made a huge impact in just a few short months. Thanks again for joining. The bar was set pretty low by your predecessor, so don't read too much into this.

Linda, our League matriarch. Thanks for keeping an eye on my brother all these years and hopefully beating his ass this week to end his delusion that he still has a chance.

Big Bro, thanks for always putting up with my trash talk. You taught me well when we were young before Lisa domesticated you. You were the one who introduced me to fantasy football over a decade ago and I've been obsessed with it ever since.

David, my son, it is so much fun that we have fantasy football to play together and talk about. I am thankful that no matter how difficult things get in life or in fantasy you never give up. I am so proud of that character within you.

Lastly, Dana, my wife. You've had to put up with me for over 27 years of marriage. Most wives would put their foot down to all the craziness I have over this League. Instead, you join in with me to share in it. You've always supported me no matter what. I am thankful that fantasy football is just one more thing we love to share in together as we continue our journey.

On to the weekly matchups.

Intelligence

Dark Lord Commissioner vs It's On Like Donkey Kong

Another week, another underdog situation for me. With Tracy getting Carson back, my odds of pulling off the comeback get slimmer. Deshaun should feast on Thanksgiving Day vs Detroit. I can only hope this is a big Fuller game. Metcalf will be facing Slay this week, so maybe Slay limits him, but I doubt he can shut him down like Ramsey. Waller the Baller may compete with Kelce for overall TE1 this week against Atlanta D who have regressed again. No Julio this week (most likely) which means 20+ from Ridley. The stars are aligning for Queenie. He has the lineup and the matchups to compete for high score this week.

Check Out My Lightsaber vs The Jedi Master

Since I think Tracy will win at least one of the remaining 3 games, Paul is just playing for points. Not sure why Justin continues to roll out Wentz. The dude is a headcase. It won't make a difference who Justin plays at QB. His team is no match for Paulie's. Cook and Henry should once again both be top 5. Justin needs Diggs to get shut down by Rams' Hayward. Maybe Tucker can kick 5 FGs on Thursday to give Justin hope.

Mother Tucker vs Rolling Dunder

With Julio injured again, Dana may be forced to start both Keenan and Williams this week unless she can find a better matchup on the waivers. Williams has a nasty matchup. She could elect to go with both TB RBs to avoid benching the wrong one again, but that limits her upside. Dana has some tough lineup decisions to think through.

Dunder's team definitely has a good chance to play spoiler this week. Josh Stallion has a great matchup vs the Chargers. His Saints D should keep pace with the Steelers this week as the Saints face Denver. If Dana had a healthy Julio, she would be a clear favorite. With Julio hurt, I give the edge to Dunder this week.

Roodiculous vs Hays Blaze

Gary's struggles will continue this week. He needs Justin Hebert to air it out for like 40 points to have a chance against Travis. You can never trust the Drake. His other players are all in tough matchups this week. Chicago's secondary has been clamping down on the pass, but Rodgers is on fire. He can throw TDs to Adams with a blindfold on. I might play an improving Jonathan Taylor over McKissic this week. It's close. It's TBD how the QB change in Cincy will impact Boyd. Well, I should say how much of an impact there will be. Definite downgrade to Boyd. Still, I like Travis this week to regain the lead in the Bros division.

EW Black vs Underestim8ed

My brother is doing his best David impersonation coming on strong late in the season. This matchup is pretty close. I am curious if Steve and Linda will make a side bet this week. TB vs KC game should be high scoring. If Tommy can avoid throwing picks, he should have a better game than Tannehill vs Colts. It's unclear if Kamara's lack of involvement in the passing game is a fluke or a trend under Taysom. If it is a trend, Linda is in big trouble. She needs those extra 10+ points from Kamara's catches. Steve has to be concerned with CEH vs the Tampa front 7. They are stout. I struggle to see how CEH will get to 10 points unless he gets a short TD. Coach Reed could just elect to throw it 50 times like the Rams did. That would be very, very good for Kelce. It's ballsy, but it may be safer to play Montgomery vs GB over CEH this week. Montgomery should be safe for 10 points vs the Packers. Not glamourous, but CEH could get under 5. MJ Jr would be a great start if Stafford had all 5 digits working on his throwing hand. He doesn't which severely impacts Mr. Jones Jr. This one is a toss-up. I will go with my brother just to jinx him.

King of the Crapper vs Just Beat Crapper King

Thielen should be cleared to play Sunday for David, but it doesn't matter. Jordan in a landslide.
