James (6-6) vs. Paul (8-4)

Projected Winner: Paul

Actual Winner: Paul

I am the Cliff Kingsbury of fantasy. My teams start strong but fade in the second half of the season. I'm third in points. I've been in the top six in weekly points nine out of 12 weeks. Yet, here I am, fighting not to get relegated for the first time in League history. If only 20 of the 205 points I scored in Week 11 would have been in Weeks 9, 10, and 12. That's a fantasy for you. This matchup came down to PK and DST. Paul's scored 15. Mine puked and only scored 8. Those 7 points were the difference. All I know is that I should have kept Bo Nix. Not because he would have been good for me, but because I can jinx QBs in fantasy. At least if I am going to lose due to lousy fantasy QB performance, then at least I could use it to hurt the Broncos. Somehow, Paul is 8-4 with the fourth lowest points scored. Better to be lucky than good. With the win, Paul clinches a spot in the Championship playoffs. I am left to fight off relegation with Justin, but still have a slight hope of making the Championship playoffs. I have to win out though and winning hasn't been my strength losing four of my last six.

Jordan (7-5) vs. Justin (4-8)

Projected Winner: Justin

Actual Winner: Jordan

Maybe it was wishful thinking, but I thought Justin could make a run. Nope. It's been a miserable year for the 3x League Champion. Now it looks like Justin could be without JK Dobbins. Could we see the Champ on the Crapper. Say it ain't so! With two games left, only about 30 points separates Steve and Justin for the last bye week in the Consolation bracket. To avoid relegation back to the Bros division, Justin has to win out and I have to lose out. Justin probably wants to go back to the Bros. That's where he wins his Championships from.

With the win, Jordan sits in the driver's seat but has some work to do. He can put me out of my misery next week and clinch his spot in the Championship playoffs. If he loses next week, he still isn't out of it. It will come down to the final week. I've seen how this plays out. It's Groundhog Day all over again from last year.

Gary (3-9) vs. Steve (5-7)

Projected Winner: Steve

Actual Winner: Gary

Gary's team decides to start scoring at the worst time for Steve. At least Steve doesn't have to suffer through a bad lineup decision costing him a win. His team just died on the vine. Tyreek's hand injury is probably a lot worse than they are saying. All he is doing these days is running cardio. It's a moral victory for Gary. Gary is ghost these days. There's not much to say about this game other than these two may see each other again during the Crapper Championship.

Linda (8-4) vs. David (8-4)

Projected Winner: Linda

Actual Winner: Linda

With Steve's loss, this game was irrelevant to whether David and Linda secured their place in the Big Dance. They are both in. David was hoping for a bye, but that would never happen with his points total. He forgot seeding in the League is by points scored. I balance the game's head-to-head nature with rewarding teams who win and score more points. Luck is involved in both, as evidenced by my 205 points in Week 11, but I think this method brings balance. The other option would be to use League Median to award an extra win or loss based on whether you scored in the top 6 or bottom six each week. I would be 15-6 in this type of format. Anyway, these two can sit back and prepare for the playoffs. It may be a while before Linda has another meaningful matchup other than trying to secure the coveted Total Points Trophy.

Ashlyn (3-9) vs. Nick (6-6)

Projected Winner: Nick

Actual Winner: Nick

Oh, my sweet Ashlyn. Another Poopsie. It's been all downhill for Ashlyn since winning the Belt in her first season. We could be seeing our first back-to-back Crapper Champion. Nothing has gone right for her. Nick inches one week closer to joining fellow noob for a chance at the Belt. I have a soft spot for the marginalized in fantasy football. You know. Those players who struggle to be successful. It's why we have the Broads division, where even the weaker players have a chance for the Belt. Many new members have started well in the Broads, but things get progressively more challenging as you move up the divisions. You will only know if you are truly good when you've reached the pinnacle of the League in the Beards division. That is where the best of the best play. Nick still has some work to do, though. He needs one more win to clinch second place.

Travis (5-7) vs. Cody (9-3)

Projected Winner: Cody

Actual Winner: Cody

In this week's beatdown, Travis takes a tough loss but one that was inevitable. Cody's team continues to dominate, thanks to Saquon dropping into his lap during the draft. Something tells me Cody will be just as insufferable as me if he wins the Belt and the Trophy. Come on, Linda, you are my only hope! I have to give credit where it is due. Cody not only drafted well, he is also picking up excellent players off the waivers like Jonnu Smith. His starters are elite. His bench is deep. It's going to be tough for anyone to take him down. Unlike other teams in the League (cough Paul cough), Cody's record is no fluke. The lights are getting dim for Travis, but he still has a legit chance to finish 2nd. It starts next week when he is in a must-win matchup with Nick. How embarrassing will it be for Nick if he can't finish 2nd in the Broads division? At least we got one more good player to join the League.
