WEEK 12 DEBRIEFING

Overview

I am still licking my wounds over my defeat. I knew the day would come, but it still sucks to miss the Championship Playoff for the first time. Congrats to Tracy for winning the Beards Division. I know it means a lot to him to finally defeat me for the division title.

With Tracy clinching Beards and Jordan pretty much clinching Broads, it comes down to who will win Bros division. Travis' team is hanging tough while Dana's is struggling to find a QB she can count on. David calls his mom's team my B team. I will confess I do help her add waivers since she is technologically inept like my brother and I keep her up to date with the latest fantasy news, but she drafts her own players and makes her own waiver wire and lineup decisions much to my detriment. I sure wish I had picked Goedert for myself instead of telling her he was a good waiver add before he returned from being hurt. As much as I love winning BBB Titles, I love having a happy wife more. You know the mantra, "Happy wife, happy life" and there is nothing that makes Dana more unhappy than the thought she will be on the Crapper. So having Dana in the League actually works against my best interests in fantasy football.

With just two games left, Paul has a commanding lead in the Wildcard race. Only thing that can derail it is if my brother can pull off the upset by winning his last two games and Jordan losing his last two. Paul did lose the lead in the Total Points race, but he doesn't give a crap about total points. Luck for him, it grants him a Championship Playoff spot. He wouldn't make it in otherwise.

While I failed in the BBB, I am doing OK in my other 3 leagues I drafted teams in. BBB will be my only team to not make the playoffs. If you play in other inferior leagues, how are you doing in them? Post a comment on the League discussion board.

For this week, I will have to take solace that I won my second week in Linda's pick-em contest. Maybe I still have a chance to catch the leader before the end of the season.

Finally, I've setup a BBB NFL PLAYOFF CHALLENGE group for those that want to continue to play fantasy during the NFL Post-Season.

Matchups

Dark Lord Commissioner (142.10) vs Its On Like Donkey Kong (145.02)

My reign over Beards Division has ended. I knew it had to come to an end eventually. Five years is a long time to dominate. Alas, a new era has dawned. Congrats to Tracy for finally vanquishing me. It was a close matchup, but in the end Aaron Jones came up small when I needed him the most. It has been so frustrating to see Jamaal Williams getting so many touches and goal line work. Aaron Jones deserves better. We will see where he lands next year. What could have been if Kyler hadn't gotten injured which clearly nerfed his rushing ability. Maybe I should have found a better matchup, but he was a big reason I even had a chance this year. Woulda, coulda, shoulda.

Tracy can coast now into the playoffs. With Fuller getting busted for PED, we will see if Watson can continue to power his team. Swartz apparently told DK he wasn't Megatron, so DK goes out and does his best Megatron impersonation. FU Swartz! We will see if Tracy has the players to win his 2nd BBB Title to join Justin and me in that elite club.

Check Out My Lightsaber (132.80) vs The Jedi Master (125.08)

While Justin is out of the playoff picture, I do like what he has done to setup his team for long term success. Going from CMC/Jacobs to Robinson/Gibson is a really nice move. I probably should have traded for Robinson instead of Jones, but I took so much sh*t for that trade I couldn't imagine if I had traded for Robinson at the time, instead. I am still mad I got sniped by Justin for Gibson. Now, Justin is setup for success and I am still struggling to find a RB I can build a team around. But who knows what 2021 will bring. One thing it will bring is Justin being relegated back down to the Bros division. With Justin's loss this week to Paul, Paul will have the points tie-breaker even if Paul losses the last two and Justin wins the last two.

As for Paul, his Championship Playoff spot is pretty much secured. Next week he will get his chance to kick the crap out me again this year. Oh how the tides have turned.

Mother Tucker (101.56) vs Rolling Dunder (118.08)

What a disappointment for Dana. She struggled on who to play at QB this week. Of the three she was looking at, none of them did squat. If she benches RoJo he goes off. If she starts him, he is a dud. Her biggest fear is having to play in the Crapper Playoff. Any more games like this week's and she will be. She needs Julio back healthy in a big way. She's not out of contention, yet.

It was a meaningless victory for Krug. He is so buried in the Crapper Playoff group there is no hope of escaping. He can't count on his defense to play against a practice squad WR playing QB every week. Let's see if Krug can continue to play spoiler next week when he faces Travis. You can do it, Krug!

Roodiculous (129.04) vs Hays Blaze (154.64)

Dammit! Travis just won't go away. Another great points week for him this week. I was hoping Gary could pull off the upset with Ekeler back. Bros division is looking like it will come down to the Week 14 face-off between Travis and Dana. With her struggles at QB and lineup yips, Travis may just sneak in.

As for Gary, it is just a matter of playing out the weeks until the Crapper Playoff starts. Next week he will try to play spoiler against Dana.

EW Black (154.40) vs Underestim8ed (123.04)

It is unreal how every year Linda's team fades in the second half of the season. Tayson has been Kamara's kryptonite. Lockett is out of boom games this year. It's now the DK Show in Seattle.

My brother is doing his best David impersonation this year. His team is playing at it's peak, but it looks like it will not be enough to catch Jordan. Miracles do happen, though. I am rooting for my brother to finally make his first Championship playoff. Consolation prize may be that he avoids the Crapper Playoff.

Just Beat Crapper King (187.78) vs King of the Crapper (105.10)

David broke 100 points. That's about the only positive thing to say. If David picks a defense and you have them in another league, drop them immediately. I am losing count on the number of times David's D has posted negative points.

As for Jordan, his team just dominates. Watching Tyreek go off was fun to watch as a Chiefs fan, but dayum! 200 yards and 2 TDs in the 1st Quarter?! Jordan is making his move to claim the Total Points Trophy...at least what is left of it. Unless my wife makes the playoffs, I am rooting for Jordan to win the Title this year. Anyone but Tracy.
