Week 12

Caesar (Gary): Welcome, welcome, welcome to Week 12 of the BBB Games, where we look at this week's matchups and the current Power Rankings. Today, we have a special message from our Commissioner.

Commissioner (James): On this day that we give thanks, let us be reminded that even in the most challenging times, there is still much to be thankful for. I am thankful for each one of you. For how the League has come together to support each other and extend that support to those facing loss. Paul, this Thanksgiving will be difficult as each day is without Candi. Know that we love you, support you, and are here for you if you need anything.

Caesar (Gary): Yes, yes. Well said by our beloved Commissioner.

Claudius (Paul): Let's not go too far.

Caesar (Gary): With the playoffs just three weeks away, the pressure of each matchup builds. There are ten teams still vying for a shot at the Belt. Let's look at how they rank in this week's Power Rankings.

Power Rankings:

  1. Paul

  2. Jordan (+1)

  3. Steve (+3)

  4. James (-2)

  5. David

  6. Justin (-2)

  7. Linda

  8. Gary (+2)

  9. Dana

  10. Ashlyn (+1)

  11. Tracy (-3)

  12. Travis (-1)

Caesar (Gary): There are some big movers this week. Steve moves up three spots as he clinches the Broads division title and a ticket to the Championship playoffs. Tracy, may he rest in peace; his team is falling apart without their leader. The Commissioner tumbles two spots after getting his butt kicked by Steve who moves ahead of him in the #3 spot.

Claudius (Paul): Seeing the Commissioner lose is always lovely.

Caesar (Gary): Indeed. But the Beards division is still wide open to see who will emerge as the Division Champion and which two will move on to the Championship Playoffs. Since rankings are based on total points scored, no one in the Beards has to worry about the Crapper. They are all in the top 6 of the Total Points rankings where the Commissioner has a 55.56-point lead over Jordan. There's still a long way to go before determining who will emerge as the Total Points Champion.

Claudius (Paul): The Commissioner is nervous. Have you seen the trades he's been trying to make?

Caesar (Gary): Yes. Steve called out the Commissioner for his initial trade with Dana. It was a bold move. Let's hear the Commissioner's response to the allegation he was taking advantage of Dana.

Commissioner (James): It has come to my attention that my integrity and fairness in my trade offers have come under question. The trade intended to fill Week 13 bye-week gaps in our lineups. As Commissioner, I know I must always ensure my trades are fair and balanced to ensure the integrity of the League and fair competition. The allegation of unfair play must never tarnish the Belt. When I offered the initial trade, the trade analyzer showed it favored Dana and me. However, it has come to my attention that the trade values shifted between Monday and Wednesday. As of Wednesday, the trade analyzer shows the trade as a 4 % increase for me and a -4 % decrease for Dana. This is too unbalanced. So, I voided the trade and will move the players back to their respective teams. In the future, to prevent such allegations, I will post a copy of an unbiased 3rd party trade analyzer showing their analysis of how the trade helps or hurts each team. I hope this settles the issue and that we may continue on in the spirit of fair competition. The League today, the League tomorrow, the League forever!

Claudius (Paul): Way to go, Steve! You can't have the Commissioner taking advantage of the ladies in the League.

Caesar (Gary): The Commissioner has been very active this year trading. He doesn't have a single player on his roster that he drafted.

Claudius (Paul): I guess that means he sucks at drafting!

Caesar (Gary): Ha ha ha. Maybe so. Let's move on to the matchups. Both the Commissioner and Justin took tough losses last week. Justin is now in a must-win situation. The Commissioner is correct to be nervous. He may have the most points currently, but he is in serious jeopardy of missing the Championship Playoffs. Another loss and he is in grave danger. Justin's team has some great matchups! Dak vs. Washington. I see 4 TDs for Dak this week. Henry vs the worst run defense in the NFL. Oh my! A.J. Brown will surely bounce back in a big way versus the porous Eagles secondary. Everything is aligning for Justin to give the Commissioner his second straight loss.

Claudius (Paul): I sure hope so.

Caesar (Gary): Paul, you have a powerful team this week. David may have his best team ever in the BBB League. But like Justin, your team's matchups are superb. Lamar will run for 100 versus the Chargers who can't stop anyone by air or ground. Breece has a great matchup, but the QB play may again lead to a terrible game script for him. However, Montgomery will see the endzone again vs. the Packers. David has had a great year with many great moves trading and on the waiver wire. Unfortunately, he is playing in the premier division in a year where all the teams have been playing at an elite level.

Claudius (Paul): It's going to be close.

Caesar (Gary): Jordan gets an easy matchup to secure his spot in the Championship. This has been a year to forget for Travis's team.

Claudius (Paul): His team looks destined for the Crapper again.

Caesar (Gary): With Kupp hobbled, Tracy's team is DOA.

Claudius (Paul): Too soon, Gary. Too soon.

Caesar (Gary): Poor choice of words. I apologize. Still, I am looking good. Without Tracy's special waiver wire magic, his team hasn't been able to keep up.

Claudius (Paul): It's a shame the Commissioner is poorly managing his team.

Caesar (Gary): Well, the Commissioner has his hands full trying to manage his own and keep Dana and Ashlyn off the Crapper.

Claudius (Paul): That is a lot.

Caesar (Gary): Speaking of Dana, she also is in a must-win to keep her small hopes alive to finish 2nd in the Beards division. She has to either finish 2nd or finish the regular season with the 8th or higher total points to avoid the Crapper playoff. She gets a bump, thanks to still having Stroud for this week. She also gets help with Tyreek facing the Jets. Dana hasn't had much luck this season, so we think her lousy luck continues this week.

Claudius (Paul): I hate it for her. She is a nice lady.

Caesar (Gary): Finally, we have Linda vs. Ashlyn. This matchup is a nail-biter! Ashlyn seems to have accepted her fate as a future Crapper sitter, but there is still hope she can avoid it. The Commissioner gave her a boost when he traded Herbert and Pollard to her for ETN. No one was giving the Commissioner a hard time about that lopsided trade since it was against him. It's a horrible matchup for Herbert vs. the Ravens D. Linda's QB, Howell, also has a horrible matchup vs. Dallas. It's hard to say which defense is the best. They are both the top 2 in the NFL. Stafford has the better matchup, but Stafford can't seem to throw 2 TDs in a game. Both teams are having to roll out suspect RBs. Pollard and Warren both have good matchups. Warren has looked good, so we favor Linda over Ashlyn for the RB position. As it looks today, it seems Linda has the edge with the KC defense vs the Raiders. Bills vs. the Eagles is a bad matchup.

Caesar (Gary): Well, that's all for this week. Have a Happy Thanksgiving, enjoy all the games today, and don't forget the Black Friday game tomorrow. May the odds be ever in your favor. Bye.

Claudius (Paul): Bye. Bye.
