James (6-5) vs. Ashlyn (3-8)
Projected Winner: Ashlyn
Actual Winner: James
I couldn't afford any more losses, so I had to put the reverse jinx in my prediction. It worked better than I had hoped. With McBride on bye, I grabbed Tayson as a what the heck play this week. Oh my! With the Saints having no wide receivers, Taysom did it all. Run, pass, catch. If only he also kicked. It all led to a massive 43.52 points output. He wasn't the only player to blow up for me this week. Amon-Ra posted almost 40, and Kupp posted nearly 30. YEEHAW! Even Breece did a thing. What a week! Considering two of my losses have been by four or fewer points, it would have been nice to spread out this bonanza, but beggars can't be choosers. My third 200+ point game in league history gets me back into the Total Points race. After winning the championship in her rookie season, it's been nothing but a failure for Ashlyn. Could she be our first back-to-back Crapper Queen?
Steve (5-6) vs. Justin (4-7)
Projected Winner: Steve
Actual Winner: Steve
Steve's team is legit scary. It's a shame he didn't win a high score with 191.58 points. His little bro had to outdo him. Unlike my performance this week, his isn't a fluke. A week after throwing five picks, Goff made up for it with 400+ yards and 4 TDs. Even Jamo got in the action with over 100 and a TD. The bad news for Steve is that he is two games behind Linda, who won the first matchup. Even if Steve wins 2 out of 3 and Linda loses, he would still need to outscore her by 163 points in the next three games. This means his only viable path to the Championship is if Linda loses out and he wins out. Since Gary plays in the same division, that won't happen. I do thank him, though, for beating Justin for me. As for Justin, even though he is in last place in the Beards division, he is still in the hunt for the playoffs since he swept the division to start the season. The difference between the highest and lowest in the division is only 58 points. On the negative side, he needs to make up two games against Jordan or me in the final three weeks of the regular season. If anyone can do it, it is Justin. I think my team used up their good games this week.
Travis (5-6) vs. Jordan (6-5)
Projected Winner: Jordan
Actual Winner: Travis
Travis keeps surprising and knocking off top teams. It's not that his team is good. It is just his opponent's team keeps crapping the bed when he plays them. This week, Jordan's powerhouse falters. Not even Bijan did anything. It is never a good week when your TE accounts for a third of your points. It's hard to fault his lineup decisions. The same could be said for Travis's team since Mixon scored a third of his points. The Texans train rides through Mixon. That last drive was incredible. 5 Mixon runs, 1 Mixon reception, and 1 rushing TD. All Mixon. With the win, Travis is back in the fight for 2nd place in the Broads division and a ticket to the postseason. What a miracle, considering his points total barely average 100 a week. The loss knocks Jordan down to 3rd place in the Beards division. It's a dog fight for who finishes in the top two.
David (8-3) vs. Paul (7-4)
Projected Winner: David
Actual Winner: Paul
David's team failed to show up in Week 11. He earns this week's Poopsie for the lowest score. That isn't good since playoff seeding is based on Total Points, not records. Right now, he would be the #4 seed. It was just bye-week blues for David with Otton and Tracy on bye. His replacements did nothing. Two gooses. That Kraft cheese in Green Bay has gotten moldy. CMC is still ramping up. 14.60 points is good for another RB, but is a disappointment for CMC. Even though he probably has the worst team in the division, Paul keeps winning. It was a good time for him that Richardson figured out how to play QB for at least one week. Of course, it was against the imploding Jets so it could just be a matchup thing. I wasn't expecting Cook to do so well versus the Chiefs D. That was disappointing, along with the Chief's loss. I am looking forward to our matchup next week.
Gary (2-9) vs. Cody (8-3)
Projected Winner: Cody
Actual Winner: Cody
Even when, on a rare occasion, Gary scores more than 100 points, it is still futile. There was never really any hope this week for him. Cody's team is a juggernaut. Even when Lamar has a bad game, he still posts 160+. Cody is probably the only player in the league more insufferable than I am if he wins the Championship. We need a new heel in the League. I've grown tired of playing the role. If Higgins can stay on the field, there may be no hope for the rest of us. Barkley keeps steamrolling everyone. Cody had the points on his bench to get over 200, but it would have taken a crystal ball to know to play Jonnu, Addison, and Stafford over Goedert, Collins, and Lamar. Gary can just keep on sleeping until the Crapper bowl. He was a lot of fun the first time he sat on it.
Linda (7-4) vs. Nick (5-6)
Projected Winner: Nick
Actual Winner: Linda
Lucky Linda rides again! Boswell with 6 FGs! It's hard to lose when your kicker puts up 24 points. Instead of Kamara feasting this week, it was all Taysom. Not that I am complaining. None of the matchups went well for Nick. McLaurin was shut down. JT failed to get anything going on the ground. Ridley had no chance against the Vikings' defense. Why did I pick Nick to win? In the end, Burrow continues to have big games because the Bengals' defense is so poor. Not even Love versus the Bears could keep up. The excellent points total for Linda keeps her on top of the Total Points race with a 57.14-point lead with six games left in the season. Nick is left trying to hold off Travis to see if he can join fellow rookie, Cody, in the Championship playoffs.
