James (5-5) vs. Travis (4-6)
Projected Winner: James
Actual Winner: Travis
It doesn't get much worse than losing to Travis this year. Once again, my lineup decision costs me a win. This week, Kyler goes off again on my bench. I started him, and he scored 4 points. I bench him against a good D; he goes off for 30. It just never ends. My kicker let me down for the second week in a row, missing three kicks! When it's not your year, it is not your year. It looks like three years in a row, I won't make it to the championship playoffs. I only have myself to blame. Not injuries. Just snake bit on lineup decisions. It was a big win for Travis, who has a slight chance to catch Nick for 2nd in the Broads division. Even with the loss, I am not entirely out of it. The Beards Division records are all within a game. It may come down to tiebreakers to determine the top two spots. We will see.
Ashlyn (3-7) vs. Justin (4-6)
Projected Winner: Justin
Actual Winner: Ashlyn
It was a week of upsets—the only reason I am still in the hunt. As bad as my loss to Travis was, Justin's loss to Ashlyn was just as shocking. Her late pickup of the Rams D came in clutch on MNF. Neither lineup lit it up. Hurts and Pickens made up almost half of Ashlyn's points. She used a high draft pick on Hurts. It's been hurting her most of the year along with the CMC snafu, but this week Hurts powered her to a win. Justin's loss wasn't due to a lineup decision. It just wasn't his week with Henry's atypical output in a close matchup with the Bengals. It will probably come down to Justin or me getting relegated this year.
Linda (6-4) vs. Jordan (6-4)
Projected Winner: Jordan
Actual Winner: Linda
And another upset thanks to Burrow's blowup game on Thursday. It's hard to lose your matchup when your QB goes for 45+. The Steelers made Jayden Daniels look like a rookie. Even with Bijan finally busting through to stud status, the 37-point deficit at QB was too much to overcome. All of us who invested in the Jets offense are feeling the pain. Aaron Jones keeps getting injured and removed from games early, but he keeps returning the next week. It was a rare Poo Poo performance for Jordan's squad. At least he gets to look forward to playing Travis next week. Unlike me, Jordan should have an easy time winning to maintain his lead in the Beards division.
Gary (2-8) vs. Paul (6-4)
Projected Winner: Paul
Actual Winner: Paul
Paul earned a high score for the week facing Mr. Poopsie. A high score was a foregone conclusion after Ja'Marr scored almost 60! Even with Caleb crashing and the Ravens D getting torched, With the trade deadline nearing, Paul may want to try to trade for a QB. Even rostering 3 QBs against league rules, he still doesn't have a decent one. Richardson isn't starting, and Lawrence may not play again this season. QB is the only weakness in his lineup. Usually, that is easy to fix on the waivers, but it is pretty barren this year. As for Gary, another week, another sub-100 score. It was low enough to earn his 2nd Poopsie of the season. That's 5 out of 10 weeks Gary has failed to eclipse 100 points in PPR. Putrid. Hopefully, the other areas of Gary's life are going well, because fantasy sure isn't.
Steve (4-6) vs. Cody (7-3)
Projected Winner: Steve
Actual Winner: Steve
My prediction looked shaky after Lamar scored 40.90, but the rest of Cody's lineup imploded. One week after going off on me for 30+ points, Barkley barfs for 8.8 points. Go figure. Maybe if Cody were better at managing his roster, he would have had a viable backup to fill in for Collins. Was Pittman worth holding onto? With this rookie level of roster management, Cody has no business talking smack against me. At least win the Belt or Trophy before coming at the 2x BBB Champion and 4x Total Points Champion. Steve's team is reminding me of Linda's from last season. It's not how you start but how you finish. Next, Steve faces Justin who is in a down year and then Gary. Those are two winnable weeks before facing Linda in Week 13. That could be for a ticket to the Championship playoffs since Linda has to face Nick and then the #1 team in the League, David.
David (8-2) vs. Nick (5-5)
Projected Winner: David
Actual Winner: David
It was a tough loss for Nick, whose team scored the third-highest points in Week 10. David took advantage of his good record to trade for CMC and Evans a few weeks ago. This week, he got CMC back in action and will only get stronger when Evans returns. The rich get richer. David has almost punched his ticket into the Championship playoffs with the win. With four games left in the regular season, he has a four-game lead over Steve and a 120-point advantage. Since the tiebreaker is head-to-head and then points for, David would have to lose out, and Steve win out plus gain 30+ points per week on David. After nine years in the League, could this be the year he finally gets the Belt? I'm rooting for him.
