Overview
Things are heating up! Huge win for Linda this week. The cherry on top is that she got the high score for the week. With many of us struggling to score points, Linda made a big move up the Total Points list. With Justin's upset of Jordan, Linda is only a game back and she won their matchup in Week 1. With four games left in the regular season, she is only 89.50 points behind Jordan in the event they tie on record and split the head-to-head. With CMC likely out until the playoffs, Jordan may have made a boo-boo trading for him. He is still the favorite in the Broads Division.
One thing that is not heating up is my team. Even in a win, I lose since my team barely broke 100 points. With Tracy's loss, I am 1 game back, but have to beat him in our next divisional matchup to even up the head-to-head record and still have to gain ##.## points. The bigger issue is Paul is breathing down both our necks. Even if Paul wins Beards and Jordan wins Broads, I am now 96.50 points behind Linda for the wildcard and also behind Tracy and Justin in points. That's a lot of points and players to leap frog in just 4 games.
Travis continues to be fortuitous in his matchups. He got Chubb back just in time. It also helps having Alex Smith dumping it off to McKissic 15 times a game. No exaggeration. Dana also pulled off the upset this week over Tracy, so the Bros division continues to be tight. Travis faces Tracy who will be without Carson again. Dana is having her own challenges figuring out which TB RB to start and not having a reliable QB. Next week's matchup will be even tougher for her as she faces Paul. She desperately needs Travis to lose.
Here's how the Wild Card race is looking with 4 weeks to go. The highest points scorer who is NOT a divisional winner goes to the Championship playoff. With Paul losing this week, it makes it even tougher for the rest of us to try and grab a wildcard spot.

Dark Lord Commissioner (108.50) vs EW Black (65.28)
Even when I win, I lose. It was a horrid scoring performance by both my brother and me. Fortunate for me, he had low score of the week and earns his second Poopsie Award for the season. Watching Sanders get passed over for the rushing TDs in Philadelphia had to bite. Bell cow? Not. Steve continues to have the lineup yips. Goff blew chunks vs Seattle in a horrid game on both sides. Next week, Steve will start Brady and he will throw 3 INTs. So it has gone this year for my big brother.
I was pretty dumb starting Fulgham vs Bradberry. Bradberry has been shutting down top WRs, but Fulgham had a decent game last time against him so I rolled with him. Watching the Packers game, I was having flashbacks to the McCarthy years. Why the hell is Jamaal getting so many touches?! GB doesn't rush for TDs this year. They throw them to Davante Adams. FML. It will take a miracle for me to win the division and my points are mediocre. I am starting to get some empathy for the rest of you who don't make the Championship Playoffs every year.
Just Beat Gary (125.66) vs The Jedi Master (128.42)
What a match. It came down to the last 3 minutes of the NE/BAL game when Newton rushed for 8 yards to put NE over 300 yards of total offense. That was enough for the Ravens to lose 3 points on DST and cost Jordan the win. Of course, Jordan was without Mahomes and Tyreek this week and he still almost won and put up a top 4 score.
For Justin, it was a morale victory. He now sits at 5-5 and lags in last place in the Beards Division. It is still TBD on who gets relegated to the Bros division. I may have a 2 game lead on Justin, but I am not feeling confident that my team can produce well enough each week to win any matchups the rest of the way. We are both buried behind Paul, Jordan, and Linda that it makes the Wildcard path but a dream.
Mother Tucker (117.18) vs Its On Like Donkey Kong (78.42)
Miracles never cease. Dana pulls off the upset over Tracy, but she doesn't gain any ground on Travis. She is just happy to not be in the bottom four anymore. Hard to believe her Steeler D only got 13 points against the Bengals. Too bad I dropped Aiyuk. Dana took advantage and picked him up and was rewarded with almost 20 points. Without a QB she can rely on, it may be difficult for her to take advantage of the soft division.
Tracy hustles more than anyone I know to find waiver wire gems. This week he worked overtime to find Ahmed who could be a difference maker down the stretch. By the time I heard the news about Howard, Tracy had already snatched up Ahmed. I am getting slow in my old age. First, Jordan snatches Robinson before the season starts and now Tracy snatches Ahmed. I used to be the one who was quick on the waiver wire draw. Not so much anymore. The loss brings Tracy closer to Paul and me in the race for Beards Division winner. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
Hays Blaze (133.50) vs Check Out My Lightsaber (116.62)
Travis just won't die. Just when you think he will fade, he pulls out the 2nd best score of the week and a nice win over Paul. It could have been even better if Chubb didn't go out of bounds at the 1 yard line to seal the victory for the Browns. At least that didn't cost him the victory. Gronk is showing he is not dead yet with another TD. It doesn't take much to have a TE1 this year. 3 targets for 2 catches and a TD is enough. The biggest key to Travis' surge is McKissic. With Alex Smith now at QB, he is getting 15 targets a game! That is insane!!! If that continues, Travis may just find a way to get it done.
Paul had a small setback, but he still has the team to beat in Beards. He just needs Russ to resupply on some peanut oil and start cooking again. Paul's biggest enemy though is his own self-doubt. I am still waiting for Henry to begin in monster weeks as the weather gets colder. Dalvin can't give him 40 points every week.
Rolling Dunder (101.26) vs King of the Crapper (110.86)
Wow. Two one-legged men in an ass-kicking contest. Duke Johnson came up small for Dunder. So much for blocking Tracy from grabbing him. Tracy did better with Ahmed the Fantasy Football Terrorist. Conner can't get anything going these days. The death nail continues to be MT. What has happened to him? 2 catches for 27 yards? Now Brees is out probably for the rest of the season. Brutal.
David no longer has the worst record in the League, but he does still have the worst points. These two are destined to meet again in the Crapper Playoffs.
Roodiculous (96.88) vs Underestim8ed (158.18)
With all the talk about Jordan's juggernaut these past couple weeks Linda says, "hold my beer". She absolutely destroyed Gary this week on her way to an uncontested high score. No one was even close! The amazing points week relative to the rest of us catapults her up the points rankings to third place. She is now in striking distance of Jordan. He still has a 1 game lead and is ahead on points, but Linda has the Week 1 win against Jordan. She still has an uphill climb to win the Broads division or the Wildcard, but I like her chances a lot better than mine.
As for Gary, well he has a lot of company down at the bottom. There is some serious competition for who will sit on the Crapper next draft.
