Kommissioner's Korner - Week 6

Hi Ho! I'm late this week. I know. Bye weeks have arrived. No one is feeling the pain more than Tracy this week. He has five players on bye. Tracy and Jordan are leading the League, but they have intense competition behind them. I am somehow still in 1st in the Beards division, but Justin is getting stronger and Paul is the true #1 in the division. I'm ready for a break and looking forward to a fall foliage road trip to take my mind off my fantasy football ineptitude. Now on to the predictions.

Kermit the Kommissioner (James) vs Oscar the Grouch (Tracy)

If I can't beat Tracy when he has 5 players on bye including his top two RBs, then I might as well punch my ticket to the Crapper Playoffs. He is forced to start both Dalvin Cook and Mattison. This will be the game where they combine for 4 TDs while my Jefferson gets nada. I hope JT returns so Deon Jackson can go sit on the pine. JJ needs to come through for me again. Against Miami that isn't a sure thing. Pittman had a great game the last time he faced the Jaguars. I need lightning to strike again since Pittman has been pretty pitiful lately. I'm not expecting a high score from my team, but I do think I can outscore Tracy's bye-week boondoggle.

Prediction: James gets a cheap win against Tracy

Janice (Linda) vs Gonzo the Great (Justin)

You know your team stinks when your projections are sub-100 points. Even her lone good player, Waddle, has to play with a 3rd string QB this week. I'm not sure anyone will ever come close to Travis' season of suck in 2017 but Linda may give him a run. Enjoy the easy win this week, Justin.

Prediction: Linda's losers lose again

Miss Piggy (Dana) vs Dr. Honeydew (Travis)

Two 1-4 teams face off, but they couldn't be more different. Dana isn't far behind Linda in the loser category. It's tough to be a Steelers fan this season. No QB equals no chance in fantasy football now. Long gone are the days you could find decent streamers. Travis got a break with Damien Harris going down. Now he has a legit RB1 with Stevenson whom I drafted but cut. Kupp is nursing a foot issue, but he is a gamer and always delivers. Just call Kupp the Postman. Looks like Travis has the balls I don't by picking up and starting Taysom Hill this week. Good luck, Travis. You won't need much against Dana though.

Prediction: Travis takes the W while Dana continues to struggle

Fozzy the Bear (David) vs Abby (Ashlyn)

Siblings meet for their first matchup in the BBB League. Ashlyn needs to keep pace with two strong teams in the Broads division. It's not going to be easy facing her brother who has built a stacked lineup through trades. It doesn't get easier for her since Derrick Henry is on bye while David's team is at full strength. This would have been a great matchup if Henry was playing. Alas, she will have to take the L and hope for better weeks ahead.

Prediction: David dunks on his little sister

Scooter (Gary) vs Elmo (Jordan)

Jordan will get his wish this week by crushing his cousin, Gary. Who needs a QB when you have Saquon, CMC, and Kamra with Walker III on the bench? Jordan is already planning for the playoff run with Watson, Hopkins, and ODB stashed on his bench. Who needs players during the bye weeks when you can win on RBs alone? I would love to see Gary pull off an upset this week, but I just can't see it happening with him being so weak at WR.

Prediction: Jordan leads the league with the best record and points

Animal (Paul) vs BoBo the Bear (Steve)

This is the best matchup of the week. That's not saying much with most matches being pretty lopsided. The advantage goes to Paul with Josh Allen and Kelce. Kelce surely won't catch another 4 TDs this week against Buffalo, will he? The Raiders did a good job containing Kelce except in the endzone. SMH. I don't see the Chief's defense containing Josh. Paul was smart to get Conner's backup so he is set with either one going against the Seattle defense. Keenan doesn't look like he will be back this week, so that is good news for his Herbert/Williams stack. Steve needs a 2 TD game from Williams to have a shot at an upset.

Prediction: Steve has to pour another one out after tough loss to Paul
