Kommissioner's Korner - Week 4

Hi Ho! Who's going to win? Who's going to lose? Who knows, but I will continue to do my best to predict it. Everyone is within a game of each other, so every win counts. The first trade has been processed. David gets a massive upgrade to his lineup while James has turned into Tracy blowing up the good team he drafted. Let's go to the predictions!

Kermit the Kommissioner (James) vs Miss Piggy (Dana)

Ah, my annual lose/lose matchup with Dana. If I win, I lose. If I lose, I lose. Either way, I am screwed this week. With Hurts playing at an elite level and Herbert projected to start this week, my lineup is solid from top to bottom. I am still concerned about JJ against Latimore. If Lattimore shuts him down, then Dana has a chance for the upset. I think JJ will bounce back and have a good game, though.

My bigger concern for Dana is that her team is teetering on the Crapper path. She doesn't have a good QB. Her RBs are trash. If Najee can't post an RB1 finish this week against the Jets, then alarms will be blaring. CEH has been outperforming his touches. Adams is facing a tough Broncos D and Carr is not a QB who can overcome tough matchups. Yikes.

Prediction: Miss Piggy kicks the Kommish to the curb after his win

Elmo (Jordan) vs Animal (Paul)

Two top teams face off here. Jordan would have been the top team in the League if CMC and Kyler were's disappointing so far. Kyler has a winnable matchup versus the Panthers who can't keep their defense off the field. Barkley is going to dominate the Bears. Miami is going to have to keep pace with the Bengals on a short week after their defense played 90 snaps in 100% humidity. I like Jordan for high score this week.

Paul's squad is no slouch. Josh Allen should go for 40 points again this week in a high-scoring game versus Lamar. Paul's RBs just don't match up well with Jordan's. The TD regression for Conner was so predictable. Diontae doesn't have the upside that Tyreek gives Jordan. The only hope Paul has is that Kelce blows up and Pitts falters.

Prediction: Jordan comes to dominate Paul

Gonzo the Great (Justin) vs Fozzie Bear (David)

I did my best to boost David's team before his matchup with Justin. I still don't think it will be enough, though. Zach Wilson is back at QB for the Jets. Flacco isn't great but defenses still had to respect that he could throw the ball deep. I love Breece Hall, but I took the gamble that Zach Wilson is going to limit Breece this year as teams stack the box. I could be really wrong though. Diggs should have another boom boom game against the Ravens secondary who let Tyreek and Waddle run rampant. David made a nice waiver wire to grab Njoku who finally showed his potential last week. Guess I should have been more patient. Not my strong suit. Now let's see if Njoku can put two good games together against a good matchup versus the Falcons.

Justin's team has some tough matchups. Bills D has to try and contain Lamar. Rodgers has to face Belichick. Jeff Wilson faces the Rams D which has been 2nd best against the run. It's not all bad since Justin has JT and Mixon should do fine. This matchup will come down to whose WRs deliver. I like Diggs and Sutton more than Brown and Lamb.

Prediction: David squeaks by Justin for the upset

Scooter (Gary) vs Abby (Ashlyn)

Both Gary and Ashlyn have unstoppable QBs facing immovable defenses. Gary has the positional advantage at RB. After a big week 1, Kareem Hunt has been pedestrian without a touchdown. She could play Carter, but he has been losing touches to Breece slowly and Zach is returning at QB. I would trust the Browns more versus the Falcons. Ashlyn's advantage is at WR. Chase, Evans, and Olave all have the upside to finish in the top 12 this week. Thielen is TD dependent and JuJu is a JAG on an offense that spreads it around.

Prediction: Ashlyn ascends with a win against Gary

BoBo the Bear (Steve) vs Dr. Honeydew (Travis)

Lineup decisions will make a difference in this matchup. If history repeats, this means my brother will lose. It's still early to know whether Dalvin will play or not. Even if Mattison plays, it's not a great matchup versus the Saints D. Keenan should be back and he has a great matchup versus the Texans. With Herbert's rib injury, he will prefer to throw it short to Keenan which offsets the advantage Steve has with Herbert vs Travis' Stafford. Mike Williams is more of a deep threat. I don't see the Chargers needing to go deep often this week plus I am sure it sucks more to throw it farther for Herbert. Singletary is a wild card. He will blow up on the bench but bust as a starter. Someone who never busts is Cooper Kupp. Brown has the opportunity to go ballistic again this week as he did to me last week.

Prediction: Steve sinks to 1-3

Oscar the Grouch (Tracy) vs Janice (Linda)

It was nice to see Linda get a win last week. They will be few. This week, she has to face Tracy's team who has been getting banged up. I think he is wise to bench Dalvin this week against the Saints in a bad matchup plus the injury. Even if he does play, who knows if they lessen his load? MT is another one of Tracy's guys who is banged up. Tracy was able to grab Doubs off waivers, so he at least has an ok option if MT doesn't play.

Linda's RBs are anorexic. She is lucky Swift is dinged up to allow Jamaal Williams to have a good start. Burrow and Waddle should both get her off to a good start on TNF, but I don't think this lineup can hold off the inevitable loss to Tracy.

Prediction: Tracy torches Linda's losers
