Kommissioner's Korner - Week 11

Hi Ho! I almost forgot to get this week's prognostications. It's been crazy busy. Let's see what I can come up with now on my lunch break. After last week took out so many fantasy starters, many teams in the League are finding their lineups looking anemic while others have seen boosts due to backfield clarity. This is the final week before division games begin. The trade deadline is approaching on Friday, November 25th. It's crunch time.

Kermit the Commissioner (James) vs Abby (Ashlyn)

Father vs daughter. I don't who can poor mouth better between us. She is already saying that she has no chance. The acorn didn't fall far from her daddy's tree. David Montgomery now has the backfield to himself with the injury to Herbert. Sucks for me as the Herbert owner. Good for Ashlyn. He has a good matchup too versus the Falcons. She's taking a gamble with Njoku for the long run, but she may have to scramble if he is a no-go again. She has double-digit points baked in with the Commanders D against Houston. That was a very nice waiver wire pickup. My attention is on the toe injury that has popped up for JJ. If he goes down, my season goes down with him. I'm just praying he sprained his pinkie toe and it's not something akin to what has killed MT's career. This game is going to be closer than the projections say. If AJ Brown is healthy, then I think I have the edge. However, if AJB is a ghost again like last week, Smith is going to be a target monster.

Prediction: The Kommish squeezes out a victory to move closer to clinching the Beards division title.

BoBo the Bear (Steve) vs Oscar the Grouch (Tracy)

Both these teams are desperate for a win. Steve dropped his 5th straight and is in danger of the Crapper playoff. He is currently bottom 4 in points. His hopes ride on whether Mike Williams and/or Keenan can return to help boost Herbert's production this week vs the Chiefs. If they are both out again, the Chiefs D is going to feast. The weather could be a huge factor this week in Buffalo. They are expecting multiple FEET of snow. It's hard to say if that would be good for both of Steve's starting RBs in the Browns/Bills game. I would assume it would be a boost due to the extra volume of touches. Heineke starts again which is a big help for F1 McLaurin. The drawback is they are playing the Texans so the Commanders probably won't need to pass a lot. The Cardinals D is better than you may think and there are a lot of mouths to feed on the 49ers these days. With Goederat on IR, Steve better say some prayers the Kmet breakout continues. Boom or bust. Tracy's outlook isn't the best, either. Carr and Jacobs face a stout Denver D. Cooks is now the WR2 on Houston. I'm not sure what Tracy is thinking about picking up Ridley who is suspended for the year. Keeper? He already has a better option with Barkley. Trying to figure out Tracy's fantasy moves is a fool's errand.

Prediction: Steve finally ends his losing streak to keep his slim hopes alive.

Janice (Linda) vs Scooter (Gary)

JuJu's concussion and Mostert on bye give Linda a chance. Not a great one, but a chance. Hardman still isn't practicing. Gary's KC super stack is falling apart. His only bye-week replacement at RB is Pacheco. I can remember a time when Kittle was set and forget. These days he is just another boom/bust TE. It just depends on the game script. Linda is without her most consistent player, Waddle. Last time Burrow faced the Steelers with TJ playing, he stunk but it could have just been that he was still recovering from his appendicitis. Ameri is on the road which means one thing. He will suck. Just look at his home and away splits. Gary is hurting, but Linda is scrapping the bottom.

Prediction: Gary wins, but will struggle to put up big numbers.

Miss Piggy (Dana) vs Animal (Paul)

Dana's team has turned around. Too bad it is too late to compete for the Championship playoffs. Her focus is on scoring the most points over the last 4 weeks of the regular season in hopes of escaping the bottom 4 crapper playoff teams. She is 80 points behind Paul for 8th overall. As stated before, there could be a huge snowstorm for the Bills game. No matter, Josh Allen will just run for 100 yards and 3 TDs. Conner has a tough matchup but with Eno out the door, the backfield is all his once again. The cherry on top is with Mecole and JuJu banged up, Kelce is going to get 15 targets this week. He could go for 200 yards against the Chargers. For Dana to have a chance, Fields has to do what no other QB has down this season. Post 3 consecutive weeks of 40+ points. Harris' knee is bothering him, so she may be better off starting Eli Mitchell instead. He looked good last week sharing with CMC. There are enough touches available for Eli to be better than Najee who is also sharing more with Warren.

Prediction: Paul pulls off the win to stay relevant in the Broads division

Elmo (Jordan) vs Gonzo the Great (Justin)

Two heavyweights collide. Jordan was steamrolling the League, but he hit a speed bump with two straight losses. Justin is heating up and making another run for The Belt. Jordan takes a massive hit with both Tua and Tyreek on bye in addition to Ken Walker. Three uber studs in fantasy. We will see which suck wins out between the Raiders D and Russ "Let's Die" Wilson. CMC/Kamara vs Mixon/JT seems pretty even based on their matchups. This matchup comes down to AJ Brown's health. I don't think he will be 100% and that will be the difference in a close matchup.

Prediction: Jordan reasserts his dominance

Fozzy Bear (David) vs Dr. Honeydew (Travis)

Kyler's hammy is really crushing David's hopes and dreams of winning the Bro's division and earning a place in the premier Beards Division. He is also without his breakout star, Etienne, on bye. The Bills snow game could nerf Diggs output, as well. Travis is too busy these days to monitor or manage his team. I had to text him last week that Zeke was IA. Poor effort by Travis. This week, Kupp is still in his lineup even though he is on IR now. That makes 3 of Travis' players. Hopefully, he will get Hollywood back soon. If not, he may run out of bench space for all his injured players. It's pretty much a lost season for baldy. We will just have to wait to see if he gets to sit on the Crapper once again.

Prediction: David eeks out a win in a low-scoring match
